Product Overview

X Fairway Woods offer superior turf interaction, alignment accuracy and penetrating ball flight.

X Fairway Woods offer superior turf interaction, alignment accuracy and more penetrating ball flight. With Callaway Golf's new X-Sole design, the clubhead rests on two distinct, raised areas of the sole, eliminating the tendency of the head to rock back and forth at address. That means a more consistent alignment that will help ensure your shots start off on-line. A lower leading edge allows you to hit down under the ball, especially helpful on tight lies. Internal weighting is positioned ideally in each loft, making it easy to get the ball airborne and resulting in a more ideal trajectory.

  • With Callaway Golf's new X-Sole design, the clubhead rests on two distinct points of the sole, preventing any rocking back and forth for consistent alignment to your intended target. The new sole design also features a lower leading edge for ideal turf interaction from any lie.
  • Internal perimeter weighting on the back ribbon of the club minimizes clubhead twisting at impact on off-center shots, resulting in straighter shots.
  • VFT Technology provides maximum ball speed and perimeter weighting, giving you exceptional ball flight, distance and forgiveness.
  • Short Straight Hollow Hosel (S2H2) allows our engineers to take the useless weight found in the hosel and reposition that weight in the clubhead where you need it most, allowing you to hit the ball harder without swinging harder. Tru-Bore means the shaft is closer to the hitting area, providing better feel and clubhead control.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Experience doesn't always pay Have had wonderful success with 5 wood in X series, so bought the 3 wood with same shaft and specs. Can't get consistent results and with first swing on muddy fairway slipped and put skid mark on top making it worthless. Can't understand how there can be such a difference between identical Fujikara shafts. March 30, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Could be better The club itself is fine. If I would have got it with a stiff shaft, it may be better. I plan to swap the shaft out and try it out. I will post another review when I do that. March 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply Awesome Very easy to hit January 10, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Why did Callaway discontinue this club? This is a great club and unfortunately a hard one to find for sale. The small head allows shots from deep-seated rough lies. The small face may intimidate some golfers, but it's still a forgiving club. October 30, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by what did i do with out it playing golf October 29, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best fairway wood I've ever hit. More distance and accuracy than I've ever received from a fairway wood, but the best part is the "feel". I've never hit a club that feels more "solid" at contact. September 16, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great club with good feel. It's a club that feels good and you are confident with the shot. The solid feel and low profile look are key. September 14, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great 3w Great, easy to hit off the deck or using a tee. Decent distance and pretty forgiving. September 13, 2011
