Rated 5 out of 5 by Jimmie FT-iZ Tour Driver
I am 4 or 5 hcp and about an 8 hcp in tournaments scores. I am 5'-7" and 185 pounds. I hit my drives normally about 260 - 265 with the occasional blast. I could also duff one 220 but not very often.
I am almost 55 years old and in good health.
I bought this 9.5 degree driver from Callaway Pre-Owned. It had my Flex in my choice Diamana shaft. It is a sweet setup. It was listed Like New, heck it was new. I could not see that it had been hit. I got this driver for a hundred dollars less than the shaft alone costs.
For starters I tipped and cut this driver down to 43" and weighted the head up with lead tape. If I had a desire for this driver it would be that it would have adjustable weights so that I could weigh up to a shorter length driver without the lead tape. My irons and woods are 1/2" short too so lead tape is not an issue.
The FT-iZ Tour has a club face that is about 1 degree open at address. I really like that visually and performance wise. I hate a closed face driver because I am convinced I will hit a hook with it. This driver is the anti hook.
The driver hits so straight, high and has low spin. The ball has terrific run out on landing. To be fair we are in a drought and the fairways are firmer than normal. It is forgiving and gives me a straighter longer distance than I deserve on less than swings. I can draw it or fade it but with an exaggerated effort. This driver just wants to go straight. That is what I read about it before I bought it and I found it is true. I would rather hit a consistent straight ball than try to hit a consistent draw or fade. This driver finds the fairway and has long carry but the run out can get me into trouble. Let us get back into normal rain patterns and healthier golf courses and I will find even more fairways. My friends can't believe how far I can hit a 43" driver. It is not so much that it hits that far it is just easier to consistently hit the sweet spot. I think the driver looks sleek. The triangular shape is a little goofy in my opinion but I got over it. Every 460cc head out there is a little goofy big for my taste. But that is just me.
I have a second FT-iZ Tour driver in 10.5 degree loft. It has a similar shaft that has slightly more flex. It is the same overall length. It hits the ball higher and has more spin. It carries about 10 yards farther and has much less run out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by salyogi Largest Sweet Spot
I am a devoted Callaway customer. I have hit every Callaway Driver since the Big Bertha, this one is the most forgiving and hottest driver of them all. Large head provides for a very large sweet spot. Very hard not to hit it well. Absolutely love it. I own several TaylorMade Drivers to include the R9,and R11 and this one beats them all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Greg tee it up high and watch it fly
the ftiz tour 9.5 is much longer than my old r7 and more forgiving too.One thing i had to do was tee the ball up extra high to get much better contact.

I transitioned from a 10.5*, s-flex, standard spec, neutral FT-9 to a 9.5*, x-flex, FTiz Tour with the Aldila Black Voodoo shaft in 1/2 bucket of balls at the range today. Actually, thats not true. I hit 5 balls with my FT-9, confirmed my ball flight Was too high, ball moving to the right, and no roll out. Kind of like a cut 5 wood. I then hit about 25 balls with the new FTiz and was instantly impressed.
I know people like "to go after it" every once in a while. Resist. Set up a little open, relax the front leg just a bit. stand firm and tall amd set your rear leg as the brace, the place that anchors your next move. The back swing is where everyshot is made. Yhe arms, wrists, and hands lay very quiet, as if along for the ride The back move is a single piece move: Arms in sequence extend as the hips and torso move, arms rising just a handhold above the right ear. You are still balanced. Its shotime, bottom leads rotation back to target, releasing its energy while staying in its own core, the upper torso follows while maitaining position.. DO NOT LET the arms extend or get involved in the swing just jet. Leave your arms high.. It is now your time. THE MOMENT THE DOWWARD MOVE STARTS IT'S SHOWTIME HERE'S THE SECRET LEAVE YOUR ARMS WHERE YOU LAST LEFT THEM. THEY WILL FALL INTO THE TARGET LINE BY THEMSELVES YOUR ARMS WILL ROLL WITHOUT EFFORT TO SQUARE UP THE CLUBFACE THROUGH IMPACT You will see trendous lag approaching impact. The result is assounding, and you did it. YOU MUST ACCEPT THIS A GREAT SHOT WILL ALWAYS FEEL LIKE YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING NO INTERFERENCE At ANY TIME IN THE DOWNSWING. KEEP THE TRIANGLE intact and enjoy. Finish High and enjoy your work.
My ball flight instantly corrected. Drives were very long, ball flight was perfect and could be modified with tee hight, runout was good, and everything was in play. Any attempt to go after it" was met with a long low hook, otherwise; DON'T DO THAT AGAIN"
There was one minor flaw during the fitting session: a piece broke free inside the and rattles. I don't know what is is, but it can't be that important. I hit ten more balls after the rattle, Stupid long and straight. I love this club. I want to have a spare.

i tried the driver on a launch monitor with my pro supervising. He tells me I am 20yds longer on most drives than the FT 5 fade bias in the stiff shaft.

Very forgiving. Easy it Hit. Feels really solid. The looks not that great but, it works. Wish you made a 10.5 Tour Model. Because I'm left handed. Would'nt mind have both lofts in the bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Beavis Nice driver for the price!
I purchased this driver for my father's "back-up" set used by myself and other friends of the family who visit my parents and play golf. I didn't have any expectations for the driver other than my father's "back-up" set needed a modern driver. I found the driver to be very easy to hit and very long off the tee. I normally play a draw but I found it difficult to move the ball right to left. Instead I hit the ball basically straight off the tee. I would recommend this driver especially for the price. The funny thing is now that I'm home in Colorado my father, who lives in Texas, is now using the driver and his old driver is in the "back-up" set.

I bought this club to replace my FT-9 and I love it. I extended the shaft by 2 inches. This added a good 10-15 yards to my drive.
