Apex - Apex Pro Combo Set Technology Item
      • Specialized Mixed Set Design

We’ve designed more than a combination of the Apex 19 and Apex 19 Pro Irons. We’ve adjusted lofts for proper gapping, re-bored the hosels so that they’re the same on every club so that you get the most performance out of the set.

      • Extremely Soft Feel

We’ve created a new standard for incredibly soft feel from a forged 1025 mild carbon steel body, and for the first time ever we’ve engineered our proprietary urethane microspheres into a forged iron. The carbon steel body promotes amazing Apex sound and feel, and the urethane microspheres consist of over one million tiny air pockets that absorb unwanted vibration without slowing the face.

      • Long, Consistent Distance With Playability

Our renowned 360 Face Cup (in the 3-7 irons) employs a shallow, flexible rim around the perimeter of the face that flexes and releases at impact to promote fast ball speed for consistent distance on center hits and off-center hits.

      • Advanced Shaping and Precision In The Short Irons

In the short irons (8-PW), the spin control VFT Face is designed for aggressive shot-making in your scoring clubs from a Tour Performance Iron body.

      • Optimum Ball Flight and Control

The tungsten-infused, multi-material construction allows us to locate the position of the CG in each iron with extraordinary precision. This promotes optimum launch, ball flight, and pinpoint control for scoring performance through the set.

      • Premium Craftsmanship and Components

Apex is expertly crafted with a beautiful players shape, a platinum chrome finish and premium components, including a new True Temper Elevate Shaft and Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 Grips.

Apex - Apex Pro Combo Set is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Clubs but Questionable "Like New" Condition I am overall very pleased with my purchase of the Apex 19/Pro 19 combo set. Prior to purchase I was fitted for the Apex 19 with Modus 120 shafts but the price totally turned me off. So when I saw the set available on Callaway Preowned for 20% off and in "Like New" condition with the Nippon shafts I jumped at the offer. I was a bit worried about moving in the 8-PW Pro's but have always been a believer in a smaller head means committing more concentration and effort if the swing mechanics are already there. I have noticed about 5 extra yards in the Apex 19s vs my JPX 919 Forged but some of that may be due to a fitted shaft vs the DG 105s I had in the Mizunos. I love the lower flight in the Pros and have seen better approach shots than with the 919 Forged. I feel like I can control the trajectory more with the Pros than my previous clubs. The only con I would say performance-wise is there is a bit too large of a gap between the Apex 7 iron and Pro 8 iron, but the set is new and I'm still getting used to the build of the Pros for distance control vs the Apex 19 which are distance irons. If anything I may look to strengthen the loft of the 8 iron about 1.5* to close the gap. The "like new" condition was a bit misleading as two of the Pro irons had cosmetic deficiencies (rust in the cavity of one club and finish chipping away in the cavity of another). I have read about rust issues with this iteration of club and I assume the chipping is due to Callaway changing the finish of the Combo Pros to fit the finish of the Apex 19s which I think is an underrated nice touch compared to other companies combo sets that are simply two lines merged together with a little loft tweaking. I brought my concern to Callaway and they offered a free shipping return or extra 10% off. I took the 10% off obviously! Great customer service from Callaway on this one. I am looking forward to NJ drying out and warming up to get some more rounds in but overall I am very pleased with the set and with my continued lessons am looking to realistically shave 5 strokes off my game with a fitted set of irons for the first time in my golf life!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They are just amazing. I replaced my old Hogan Apex plus after almost a decade. The long irons are forgiving and the short irons very accurate with nice spin. Distance is one club longer (old 8 is now a 9 iron). I bought the AW and using a 54° and a 58° wedges.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Really wanted to love this set up. Disappointed with the execution. I really wanted to love this pro combo split, but the lofts are way off. The difference between the Apex and Apex Pro is too much to be playable. I got fitted and loved both models. The Apex Pro was one of the best feeling clubs I have ever hit, and the distance of the Apex made me feel like a tour player. I could not choose between the two. Thankfully I didn't have to with this combo split. Unfortunately when they arrived i was surprised that the shafts I wanted were not available for the combo set, they have a much much more limited selection. After a few days of playing I was hitting my 7 iron 165 and my 8 140. I measured the lofts and there was a 6 degree difference between the two. My pro said that Callaway adjusted the pro combo so there was a smooth transition but I guess not. These are by far the nicest clubs I have ever had but right now they are unplayable for me untill I can get them adjusted, i'll probably swap the shafts out too. I thought the pro combo was a god send but it has been nothing but a headache. TL;DR Pro combo is a pain . Do yourself a favor and jist choose a matching set.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very good I was very happy with the irons rusting in the cavity of the Apex Pro irons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic forged feel with stunning good looks! Played the Apex Pro in '15 but made the switch to Steelhead XR Pro 2 years later thinking at my age that I could use a little help with distance and forgiveness. Never really felt right, lost my workability, distance control and feel that only comes with a true forged players iron. Just 2 swings on the course with the new Apex Pro 19's (both birdies I might add!) and I was in love with my irons again. The beautiful look at set-up, the turf interaction from the crisp leading edge, and the buttery feel from the strike! I was in heaven. In addition to being just absolutely stunning, these irons produce a much tighter gapping and dispersion with the feel and workability that I had been missing. The trade-in/trade-up program with the 50% bonus was a big plus to help me find my iron game again, Thank-you Callaway!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Appropriately gapped combo set.... Clubs are gapped appropriately. The Apex Pros are forgiving and long with the right amount of turf interaction in the 8-AW. I paired them with Dynamic Gold 120 Tour Issue shafts. The shaft offerings on Callaway.com to customize your clubs are amazing. Best in the business.
