      • Tour Influenced Shaping and Design

This is a classic look that the best players want to see, and their extensive input played a huge role in how we designed this set.

      • Soft Feel

The 1025 mild carbon steel and advanced quadruple net forging creates the soft feel that better players prefer.

      • Progressive CG for Playability and Precision

Our multi-material design optimizes the Center of Gravity of each club. The longer irons (3-5) have more offset and a tungsten insert to lower CG for higher launch. The shorter irons (6-A) have a higher CG for a controlled, penetrating trajectory.

Apex Pro 16 Irons is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 134.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great clubs for most golfers I’m a fairly high handicap who was told I shouldn’t be playing these irons. I just loved the looks and bought them without hitting prior to purchase. I went from SGI irons to these and have to say all of the people who say these are for low single digit handicaps are full of it. I hit these better than my SGI irons all day long. I doubt I am the only high handicap player whose score is based upon bad putting and erratic driving, but is a pretty good ball striker with all irons/wedges. If this sounds like you and you like the looks of these clubs, go for it! Forgiveness is all relative. Misfits are quite a bit shorter than with SGI irons, but they tend to go much straighter. That’s a trade off I will take. I have never had trouble getting the ball high, and actually wanted to flight the ball lower so the higher COG on these clubs helps my game. I hit my old irons a ton (190 yard 7 iron) and have to admit I lost about 10 yards with these clubs. But who cares if you get the distance you need by clubbing up? I’d say it certainly has more to do with the weaker lofts than the club construction. Bottom line is these are great clubs, I find them very easy to hit and great to shape shots with. Don’t be afraid to buy just because some snob tells you they are only for elite ball strikers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great clubs just as advertised. This is my third set of Callaway Irons starting with the XR’s to the steelheads and now the Apex pro 16s. I stayed with Callaway because the quality of their clubs is excellent. The durability of the apex pro irons is unreal. I’ve played about 12 rounds with these clubs and they still look brand new. All the reviews I read on these clubs were right on. Hits just slightly off center have immediate feedback that you didn’t hit it on the screws. But the outcome was still very forgiving. Hit one on the screws, it’s long straight and perfect spin. They were delivered right as scheduled and exactly as ordered. Very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Met my expectations, look & feel great! First I’m 68. Play very competively, having won State Sr Am, qualified & played in USGA Sr Am 3 times & played in the British Sr. Am, So I can play. Was looking for irons that I could maintain the feel of my Titleist 712 AP 2’s but gain some distance back. I have been losing distance as I’m getting older and my 8 iron was about 150 yards five iron 180. With these apex Pro’s I’m now hitting 8 irons 155-60 & 5 iron 185-90. so I’ve gained 5 to 10 yards and still have that great feel of the forged iron. I’m a lefty so very difficult to even test clubs as not all are there to try. I’ve purchased through Callaway pre owned several times and never been disappointed. These were “like new” but when received were”brand new” never hit! Project X 5.5 were perfect for my swing. Still swing 100mpi with my driver so reg + to stiff is what I need. If you want to gain a few more yards & have an iron with both feel & forgiveness this should be your choice

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels like butter through the ball! Love these irons from the moment I first hit them. Hitting the sweet spot is not hard for me, so every time I do, it's like a knife through butter. They swing themselves, all you have to do is put a good swing on them and the club just moves effortlessly! They are very well balanced, so swinging them is easy! I recently won two closest to the pin on par 3's with my 7 iron! Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than advertised I tried a number of clubs. Was a Titliest guy for years. These stood out. All the talk about lack of distance is ridiculous. These clubs require a proper strike. Given that is the case, they are as long as any players iron on the market. Golf is ultimately a game of accuracy, and the Apex Pro's combine distance and accuracy like few others. What is too often overlooked, or improperly recommended, is the shaft. That being said, I have seen too many swings that have no business swinging a players club, complaining about the clubs performance. I mean, seriously, that's like a guy getting behind the wheel of a Ferrari, complaining it doesn't handle any better than his Chevy. These irons are played by the world's elite, enough said.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sticks I spent a couple of hours in the cage at my local pro shop hitting different irons. We went through every brand of club and a bunch of different head/shaft combinations. After all that, I decided on the Apex Pro's (custom specs per my fitter's advice). I was a little apprehensive because my game (mid-hdcp) doesn't justify stepping up to "player's irons" like these. I am thrilled that I did! These irons are the best feeling irons I've ever hit. I'll grant you that they aren't as forgiving as some of the cavity-back sets available, but these clubs will definitely reward a smooth swing and a strike on the sweet spot. Now I know how the PGA players get such seemingly ridiculous distance. If you hit these flush, they will send it! Distance isn't the only thing though. It is very easy to work the ball with these clubs too. I was able to hit some gentle draws with the mid-irons. Something that I've never been able to before. Great sticks Callaway!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best in the business These clubs are awesome! I was looking heavily into many golf clubs at the time and did a lot of research on which irons I should go with. But after hitting the Apex Pros, I couldn't imagine buying any other set. These clubs have amazing feel and are still pretty forgiving. I used to hit a lower penetrating iron shot but now I hit high lofted shots, which I prefer much more. These irons feel great and look great at address, giving me added confidence. These irons are the best out there if you are a solid ball striker. If you struggle in that department, go with the Apex or Steelheads.
