      Rogue X Irons Technology Item
      • 360 Face Cup and VFT

Rogue X Irons combine our renowned 360 Face Cup technology with Variable Face Thickness (VFT) technology to dramatically expand the portion of the face that delivers fast ball speed. Face Cup employs a shallow, flexible rim around the perimeter of the face that flexes and releases at impact to increase ball speed. VFT also influences how the face itself flexes to promote more ball speed on off-center hits. The combination of these two technologies promotes ball speed and distance.*

        * Compared to X2 Hot Irons

      • Tungsten Weighting for Optimal Flight and Control

Tungsten Weighting allows us to position the CG in each of the long irons with extraordinary precision, promoting optimum launch and control at each individual loft. The tungsten, twice as heavy as steel, concentrates significant weight into a small space in the form of an intricately shaped part, which is key to precisely controlling CG location.

      • Urethane Microspheres for Phenomenal Sound and Feel

The upside of a thin clubface is faster ball speed and more distance, the downside is excessive vibration that generates an unpleasant sound and feel. Urethane can be used to dampen vibration to improve sound and feel, but it can also greatly reduce the face’s ability to flex, lowering COR and ball speed. Our elastic-urethane microspheres provide the sound and feel benefits of urethane without compromising COR or ball speed.

      • Radical Distance Tech Package

Lighter, longer, stronger: Compared to Rogue Standard, Rogue X is lighter in weight and longer in length, with stronger lofts. Wide sole pulls the CG low and deep for easy, high launch and long carry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rogue X irons are great! I treated myself to an early retirement present with a new set of Rogue X irons. They look great, and they play even better. These irons are long due to the lower lofts, but they also want to go straight -- very forgiving. If you want a player's set of irons to work the ball, look somewhere else. But straight works for me! I highly recommend these irons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased with my purchases. I have recently replaced all of my Irons with the Rogue and I am very pleased with my purchase. I strongly believe it’s a great product and most importantly I hit the ball further than my old Irons, which you can never go wrong.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rogue X irons feel great. These irons feel great. Arrived in great condition even though they were labeled as average. I upgraded from my old set of irons and Ive seen an increase in distance and accuracy so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impeccable These clubs carried me to greatness. Maximum distance and very forgiving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Feel and Performance Upgraded to Rogue Irons after hitting Steelhead X-14's for the last 15 years. Unbelievable feel overall. Solid hits and off-center hits feel and sound good. While I did not see a huge increase in distance (maybe 5 yards), feel and accuracy increase more than make up for that. Graphite shafts are really light - takes some getting used to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these clubs I got callaway to customize loft/lie and shafts. I had them in a few weeks and I couldn't be happier. Great look at address and the feel is way better than the apex pro's I previously had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Clubs But Pay Attention to the Lofts and Distance Gapping I have never understood the disdain for a thick top line or offset, especially if the clubs perform, and the Rogue X irons perform. The ball flight is penetrating, yet these irons deliver stopping power with a good descent angle and plenty of spin. The forgiveness on mishits is quite good, and I have not had the unexpected flyer that sometimes comes with "distance" irons. The feel is exceptional, especially for a cast iron. And despite the top line and offset, they look good, too. The only thing I do not like is the numbering of the irons. Whereas most sets of irons have an A, G, or U wedge for the gap wedge between the sand wedge and pitching wedge, the Rogue X irons have both an A and a G wedge--that is two gap wedges between the sand wedge and the pitching wedge--which bumps the pitching wedge loft up to 9-iron loft, the 9 iron to 8-iron loft, etc. In fact, the lofts on the Rogue X are almost identical to those of the Rogue Pro or Apex CF16 irons, if you ignore the numbers stamped on the bottom of the clubs. Callaway seems to be considering that shaft length determines the number on the iron, but most everybody focuses on the loft. When testing, compare clubs of similar loft, and ignore the number stamped on the bottom. I still noticed a significant distance increase and better performance compared to my old irons of the same loft, ignoring the seduction of the misleading numbering. Except for this unnecessary marketing ploy, everything about the Rogue X irons is exceptional. Just pay attention to what you are getting and how it compares to your old clubs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought these used advertised as good condition more like average. Disappointed again in condition. Have a 5 year old set of Taylor Made irons that are in better condition than this set. But overall happy with this set for distance and playability
