        Technology Specs

        Rogue X Irons Technology Item
        • 360 Face Cup and VFT

Rogue X Irons combine our renowned 360 Face Cup technology with Variable Face Thickness (VFT) technology to dramatically expand the portion of the face that delivers fast ball speed. Face Cup employs a shallow, flexible rim around the perimeter of the face that flexes and releases at impact to increase ball speed. VFT also influences how the face itself flexes to promote more ball speed on off-center hits. The combination of these two technologies promotes ball speed and distance.*

        • Tungsten Weighting for Optimal Flight and Control

Tungsten Weighting allows us to position the CG in each of the long irons with extraordinary precision, promoting optimum launch and control at each individual loft. The tungsten, twice as heavy as steel, concentrates significant weight into a small space in the form of an intricately shaped part, which is key to precisely controlling CG location.

        • Urethane Microspheres for Phenomenal Sound and Feel

The upside of a thin clubface is faster ball speed and more distance, the downside is excessive vibration that generates an unpleasant sound and feel. Urethane can be used to dampen vibration to improve sound and feel, but it can also greatly reduce the face’s ability to flex, lowering COR and ball speed. Our elastic-urethane microspheres provide the sound and feel benefits of urethane without compromising COR or ball speed.

        • Radical Distance Tech Package

Lighter, longer, stronger: Compared to Rogue Standard, Rogue X is lighter in weight and longer in length, with stronger lofts. Wide sole pulls the CG low and deep for easy, high launch and long carry.

Rogue X Irons is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 813.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent irons These are the best. I was a big TM fan but one day I went to a callaway fitting. After hitting then I had to switch and I’m glad I did. I’m 65 and had been s club short over the past few years. Not any more these clubs are longer and feel great. With the right setup you cannot be disappointed. I guarantee it. All epic woods as well. Just awesome

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Feel and Performance Upgraded to Rogue Irons after hitting Steelhead X-14's for the last 15 years. Unbelievable feel overall. Solid hits and off-center hits feel and sound good. While I did not see a huge increase in distance (maybe 5 yards), feel and accuracy increase more than make up for that. Graphite shafts are really light - takes some getting used to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best irons I’ve owned I’m 67 and 7 handicap. Glad I returned to a forged club. Soft feel and the ball jumps off the face. Getting 7-10 yards more distance the my x hot 2 irons, which I really liked. I hope would highly recommend these clubs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got custom fitted at Club Champion, and couldn’t be happier. The feel is soft, traj and spin are consistent, and distance gapping is spot on. I’m loving my new Apex Pro 19 irons. Jerry at CC in Newport Beach did a custom fit for me that was precise and data driven. The result was a set of irons that are consistent and a joy to hit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best irons I’ve ever hit. Bar none After being away from the game a while I came back and had some older Taylor Mades. I decided to get some new irons. These irons are without a doubt the best I’ve hit in my 30 years of playing. I played Callaway before. Years ago. Liked them. But these newer technologies have made these just amazing. Longer. Higher ball flight. Great feel. The setup just great. Nothing about these are unappealing. Love em. Look forward to hitting them everyday. Being retired now I play a ton. If you’re looking for quality and great feel these are your irons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Step up to Forged Irons I've been playing Callaway Rogues but was curious about forged irons. I am a 17 handicap and was concerned from web reviews that I would not be able to hit Apex irons. I am pleased to report that they are as easy to hit as the Rogues and a pleasure to hit. There is a difference to the feel and sound when you strike the Apex 19 forged iron. I might be giving up 3-5 yards compared to the Rogue but the feel of the Apex is a delight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from essential wedge This wedge gets the ball up and stops it on the green at any distance within 30 yards-- an absolutely essential club if you have any elevated greens or hilly approaches.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product has good features. The Apex cf19 irons are an excellent product. Callaway has done a very nice job on the design of this iron. My overall option of this iron vs the previous model is that it is an improvement, but not a very significant one.
