I've been using an old Ping blade putter (plain steel, no insert). I putt well with it, but a little hard at times, particularly on long putts. I wanted to try an insert, but not one that was too mushy, and I didn't want any weird shaped putter head. In my opinion, if you focus to much on the putter you're gonna miss a lot of putts, so I don't like busy graphics or heavy mallet heads.
The #1 White Hot 2.0 insert is perfect. I've hit the original White Hot and it's way too soft for me. This seems to be the same insert as the White Ice, which is firmer, but still softens up those long putts. I didn't notice a lot of difference in distance versus the steel putter on short putts, but it does "feel" softer to hit, which is nice. You can't tell too well from the pictures on here, but it's offset at a nice angle. It's got a nice shaped pistol grip, as well.
At the price, it was a steal. Average means "pretty good" by my standards (head's a little nicked from someone leaving it in their bag without a headcover, insert, grip, and shaft are all flawless, matching headcover included--the White Hot XG blade headcover that's $15 itself). I would've given probably 50% more than the list price if I'd found it in a shop, and I would've paid 3 times what I actually did with discounts--so I'm quite pleased.

Added this putter as I was ready to start removing strokes from my game. It's balanced and accurate. I noticed immediately that I was making the 5-6 foot putts consistently and not over shooting the cup while attempting those long putts. I'm not pulling my putts anymore. It came with a branded headcover as well which was nice.

Like the putter a lot. Got a great deal on it with the 12 days of Christmas special. But it has a great feel, and was very high quality.

I have always putted with an Odyssey putter. I switched to a ping anser putter on a friends advise and what a mistake! Since I switched back to this Odyssey putter I'm back to averaging 30 putts or less per round. my scores are going back down.. loving it!!!

The weight feels nice, it does what i think it should as i putt. Not sure how else to say it. Very nice putter!!
