Odyssey Metal-X Rossie Putter
A Piece of Heaven
I recently decided to risk my 45 year love affair with my former putter. The head of that putter is very light and could be controlled well with a more traditional narrower grip like the beautiful grip that came with my new Odyssey Rossie putter. Unfortunately, for me, the heavier head of the Rossie was a mismatch with the narrow grip. After changing to a larger lite-grip the head felt significantly lighter and I could appreciate the impeccable balance and feel of this superb putter. It seems impossible not to get a perfect roll every time with the Rossie! The very lively face and weight of the Rossie gives me a beautiful feel of putter-head and distance control that I believe, at least for me, is enhanced by a larger grip. A little piece of Heaven now resides in my golf bag.

Putting Stats will Improve
When i first got it it took me a while to used to the how hot the face was but now I am dropping putts from everywhere. Before a putt outside of 10 feet my distance control was horrible but now I am either dropping it or getting it to tap in range. I love the look, feel, and weight of this putter!!! Strongly recommend it.

I had a Top Sighter putter for over 25 years and felt with the faster greens I was lacking a smooth roll and control. I tried several putters at store across the state and kept coming back to this one. The ball rolls so much smoother, the feel of the putt whether long or short is so much better than my other putter. It almost turns every 6-8 footer into a gimme! Love the putter.

Maybe the best Odyssey has ever made.
I have had this putter through 2 seasons now, and it is the best putter I have ever owned...and I have owned them all...nearly. I played with a version or two of the #9 for maybe 3 or 4 years before and loved them. My only issue was on very short putts, I tended to pull them, and the Rossie was my effort to nail more short putts.
The smaller headed mallet is an acqurred taste though, probably appealing more to players who like heel shafted blades or don't like a plumbers neck type of hosel. This isn't the most forgiving putter either, and wouldn't appeal to someone struggling to find their game on the greens.
The weighting is beautiful, especially if you are playing faster greens. Light putters are generally good for slow greens, because they are easier to swing, but the faster the greens get, the heavier the putter should be. The black head with white site lines make this gem so easy to line up. Inside 10 feet, you'll be surprised at how easy it is to line up consistently. The ball clicks off the milled face everytime the same way, with very consistent speed and release. I think the oval milling is cool looking, and absolutely nails the feel and speed requirements that I have.

An outstanding beautifully crafted putter
After using and "mastering" an Odyssey White Ice for 5 years my local pro shop gave me a try out of this amazing putter. Takes a little bit of effort to adjust to the weight and speed of the ball off the face, but WOW. Neither toe or heal heavy the putter provides a great balance of accuracy and directional integrity. A must try before you buy - just bought another, my wife took mine after two weeks.

Very small head!
Still trying to get used to the small head. Putts roll true but distance control has been a problem.

Nor for the average golfer
I traded an Odyssey mallet putter for this. When I got it I was very surprised. It is too heavy and the head is small. I had trouble with short puts because of the weight. It is not easy to hit a soft putt. I have gone back to the Odyssey mallet putter.
