Rated 5 out of 5 by Grantaveous Callaway Razr XF is amazing!
I have never written an online review before! And after reading most of the reviews on almost all golf sites, I can tell you that the snarky reviews read elsewhere regarding these irons are from people who haven't yet hit these clubs. After reading those reviews, I wanted to write one of my own.
I'm 47... Active; ski, play indoor soccer, and have a sore shoulders and knees. I've played down to a 9, and am now a 14 handicap. I have played golf for over 40 years, and have almost always loved the game of golf!
I've aged out of my previous set of irons (too stiff/heavy/old), and without conducting any research on new clubs, I went to the local mega pro-shop and paid $ to hit ALL BRANDS of irons on the outdoor Trackman computer system.
As I wanted to remain unbiased, I tried not to note the manufacturer when the pro kept handing me clubs, each to be hit 5 times. I simply tried to keep my swing the same... while he kept rotating 7 irons in and out for me to hit. Data was tracked for each shot.
Admittedly, and being somewhat of a traditionalist, when he first handed me this black-ish looking club, I was not impressed. But from the very first shot, the pro, my son, and I each felt/heard/saw remarkable difference in ball flight, distance, and shape. The ball just screamed off the face of the club. Every shot hit with this club was easy, pure, and solid sounding. This black-ish club rotated out and back again and afterward was easily the winner in every tracked data set.
It wasn't until after the session that I found out it was a Callaway XF iron that stole the session from all other manufacturers.
I left, and searched the web for more data on the XF and for more irons to sample before buying. But the trackman data was so skewed in favor of the XF; I called and asked the pro to hold another session to reconfirm the data, 3 days later.
Again, we rotated the best irons made, in and out, and by all metrics the XF outperformed all others tested. This iron is: smooth, pure, long, workable, and has great feel.
No doubt about it; XF's are the iron for me. I've ordered them and cannot wait for them to arrive. Yes, they are a little pricey, but the best technology usually is. No: I didn't order the matching XF Hybrids, as the data indicates that I hit mine just fine.
Every golfer is different. Every swing is different. But no matter what your handicap, no matter what your preferences, no matter what anyone writes or says... you have to hit these irons.

I am 60 years old and play to a 1 handicap. I have been having a little trouble hitting my Muira irons. They are great but not forgiving. I went to a local golf shop to look at different clubs. They told me to try these. They felt great and easy to hit. My friends say these are not clubs for a player with a 1 handicap. I said if they make you better why not. The looks are a lot different from my old clubs but I really don't mind them. I can work the ball and have some of my old distance back. Getting older is not fun but these clubs will take away some of the pain. If I play better you can say anything you want.

I tried these out at my pro shop today. I have nothing but great things to say about how they play. The pro urged me to try and mishit the ball, and said he himself could not do it. Whether you top the ball, bit it off the hosel, or just barely hit it off the toe, the ball will soar like a perfect hit. Most forgiving club I have ever used. When I hit it square, it flew 30 yards farther than my current irons do. Exceptional distance, though not the best (Those looking for distance need to check out a CB iron, went 50 yards farther than my irons). As far as looks go, they aren't too appealing. They are fat, too dark, and the back looks like a twig is stuck in it. For most people however the performance is key. I don't know that I would recommend these to a friend because I want to be the best player out these with my old X-12s!!

1st and 2nd time I used them I shaved 3/4 strokes off my score. They feel real solid when hitting the ball.

Im 58 play to a 8 to 11 handicap.I was looking for a more forgiving club when I saw you Iron line up on a poster at my course the razr xf stood out so I went to golfsmith to try them out. After the demo I was very impressed and have sinced purchased a set 4 iron thru pitching wedge. Im very pleased with these irons. At the course I belong their have been many people comment on the appearance of these clubs and want to take them out of my bag to check them out. The callaway team has done a great job on these clubs. Besides these irons the hex black ball is as good as it gets but thats a different story.

I hadn't golfed 5 times in over thirty years. My daughter (12) wanted to start golfing so we agreed it would be our activity together. I believe in the best tools no matter the job and the local golf store has every model of every brand but the description of the FX got my attention. The price about lost my attention. After a little more research I took home the FX 3HB-P, a driver, and odysey putter. I was convinced the "forgiveness" of the FX was the best tool for a new golfer ready to get serious.
I hit the driving range every day for over a week then a par 3 course 2-3times a week at first. When I finally golfed on a real course with longtime golfers I was amazed how my distance and accuracy were compared to them and with some pointers from them how it dialed in so quickly. Consistency is another story. Anyway, after swinging a few other clubs I can now see the difference. I thank these clubs for lowering the frustration and increasing the fun. I now wish I could golf every day.
You have to buy the other wedges separately and i opted to stick with the FX for the A and S even though they were higher priced than others. They don't offer any other wedges than the P,A,S in the FX. The Winn grips pretty much spoiled me, they feel awesome, I switched my driver grip to the Winn right away.

Tested Taylor Made Burner 2.0, Diablo Forged, Razr X, Titleist AP-1, Ping G-15, Ping G 20, Ping S 56, Cleveland CG 16 Black Pearl, Adams Idea Black CB 2,Taylor Made R 11. Razr xf irons with 95 gram steel regular steel shaft easily the best. Great forged feel at impact. Ball flight a little high but very straight and long. One club farther than my old Adams A4 forged irons. These clubs are very easy to hit and feel great. Not just for mid or high handicappers. Found I improved my accuracy and length. Did not get hybrids with irons. Too much offset which had a distracting look. Bought Razr X hybrids with stiff graphite shafts which are great. Again very straight and long. Was custom fit at Callaway fitting center. Minimal fitting charge is well worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by NYGiants91 Love them !!!
I am 56, just retired, so I treated myself to a set of the RAZR XF irons combo set. After only 2 rounds, I must say they are by far the best clubs I have ever had. The hybrids (4&5) are much better than the reviews I read on them. The ball gets up quickly, a very straight shot, and a soft landing. Much better than my Adams hybirds! If you want to shoot lower scores, these are a must!! VERY highly recommended.
