Apex CF 16 Irons
Exceptional feel and added distance
I received my clubs on Monday November 2, I had to have grips put on them so I took them out today. I am a 7 handicap and have been playing the original Apex irons since the day they were released two years ago.
I wanted to get a real comparison to my old Apex irons so first I hit my old PW, then I hit the new CF16 PW, then I hit the old 7I and then the new CF16 7I and then the old 5I and then the new CF16 5I.
I saw the biggest difference in the 5 and 6 irons, approx. 5 - 10 yards, the 7 and 8 irons about 3 - 5 yards and no real difference with the 9I and PW. I think the ball flight was slightly higher across all the irons.
I loved the feel it was the same as the APEX just like a knife through butter, there is just no better feel hitting a golf ball then hitting a golf ball with a forged iron. I was expecting a different feel with the CF16 irons and I didn't feel any difference between my original Apex irons and the new CF16 irons.
I recommended the old Apex irons dozens of times and I will recommend the CF16 irons as well.

Received my irons last night, took them out to the range today to test them out.
First, the look of the irons is amazing! Any level of golfer can play these irons, they look so good behind the ball, almost like you can't miss a shot!
Feel: Better than last years model, they provide enough feedback to let you know where you are impacting the club face. Well Done!!
Workability: Awesome, I have always had issues fading a ball with my irons, not anymore, very workable!
Distance: LONG! I was hitting each iron 10-15 yards longer depending on how hard I went after the shot. When I demoed the irons, I was seeing the same results distance wise, I assumed that the store had the monitor juiced up to seem like you were hitting the iron longer, nope, same results outside!
Shaft: I had the Modus 120 Tour installed in my irons, free up-charge from Callaway on this shaft was a no-brainer, huge up-charge from every other OEM! Great shaft-Thanks Callaway Golf!
Overall: You cannot and will not go wrong with these irons regardless of your handicap; I am a 3 handicap and a very good iron player, but any handicap can use these, they aren't too small, or too big, just the right in size. If you get fitted for the correct shaft for you with these irons, you will be a very happy person!!!

I have been playing with the latest big Bertha irons and have enjoyed them. However, when I saw that the cup face technology was available in the Apex iron, I had to try them. I am very pleased with the result. The iron at setup is very classic and the feel at impact is wonderful. I have not played them enough to judge distance compared to the Big Bertha irons, but very pleased so far.

Velvety buttery cotton comes to mind....
Forgiving, long, and straight, in that order...
Replaced my 2014 APEX Pros with these mainly for the forgiveness and distance gained. They're crazy forgiving and long, often in combination. When I hit my previous club off the toe I instantly lost 10-20 yards, not anymore!
This is my first iron set with graphite shafts (I'm 43, healthy/strong, and a decent player) I went for the UST Recoil F4 (stiff) which was a free upgrade and wow... all my worries was put to rest after the first ball hit on the range! What a combo!! The shaft is 110 grams, same weight as my previous steel shafts (KBS C-Taper Lite) but the over all weight and swing weight increased a bit as the 16 heads are heavier. I have no regrets as they feel like steel (weight wise and on less than full shots) and fly like graphite. So happy!
The club heads are of course larger (longer and wider) than the Pros and I do not like that but at the same time I can 'see' the forgiveness before swinging knowing I'll hit a good shot even if off a bit, CONFIDENCE!

My new Apex CF 16 irons are amazing !!
I replaced my Titleist 716 AP-2 forged irons with the Apex CF 16 forged irons with TT XP 95 stiff shafts. I have increased my swing speed by an average of 8 mph. I have added an additional 8-12 yards of distance with each club. My ball flight now reaches a higher altitude and drops softly with more spin. For me it's a win, win, win. I am 62 years young with a 4 index and feel like a kid again hitting my 7 iron 185 yards with drop and stop action. I could not be happier.

Point and shoot
Best irons on the market. Long and straight, without loss of playability.

Great look, easy to hit, great feel.
These irons provide great feedback, especially with the 5-7 irons. A little longer than my previous Apex set. The pw is the only disappointment on a full shot.

These irons look as good as they play.
These irons have a solid feel and miss hits don't stray too far off target
