Excellent clubs I purchased the 18* and the 20* Alpha 815 Hybrids in the stiff fujikura speeder shaft. Very "weighty" clubs which helps tempo. Great sound, great feel, even on miss-hits. With the +2, +1, Std, -1 including the neutral or draw settings, it is very easy to hit these clubs and dial these in to the gap distances between my 3 wood and my 5 iron. Very compact design which is very appealing and like they say it has a very penetrating ball flight. They have a more open lie than most hybrids with the neutral setting so you have much less tendency to snap hook these. Try to buy the ones that most closely fit your gaps as standard because as you increase the loft, it does close the face. So if you buy a 20* and end up adjusting it to 22* it will be much more closed even at the neutral setting than if you leave it at 20* Very nice clubs, very forgiving and consistent distance. I am very glad I made the purchase. August 31, 2015
Easy to hit This the first hybrid I've purchased in many years. My prior experience was not good and difficulty hitting hybrids. The Big Bertha 4 hybrid is excellent. It replaced my 3 iron and I'm consistently hitting it about 10 yards further, which was my goal. It flies higher and is very forgiving. April 28, 2015
Great upgread from my XHot Pros I recently bought 20 and 23 degree BB Alpha 815 Hybrids to replace my XHot Pros> My concern with the older clubs was a tendency to draw too much, bordering on a bad hook. Another review indicated the 815s would not have that problem, so I ordered up a pair from the Preowned site. On arrival I spent some time on the range playing with the loft and bias settings, finally settling on standard lofts and draw bias for both clubs. I saw much higher ball flights than the old Pros on the range and better consistency across the face as balls struck on the toe tended to draw back to center after starting to the right. On the course I am seeing about 10 yards more distance than the XHot pros as measured by my Game Golf device. My first shot on the course was on a tight dogleg par 4 that I hit a terrible drive so was left with about a 10 foot window between trees on the inside of the dogleg and a sand trap fronting the green on the left. From 185 yards out I threaded the needle to about 6 feet from the pin with the 23 degree club. Needless to say I was immediately impressed. My only con is the inconsistent sound between the two hybrids. The 23 degree club makes a solid thunk like the 14 and 18 degree Alpha 815 woods while the 20 degree club makes a high pitched Ping sound. But I can get used to that with the performance of the clubs. August 17, 2015
Bought this to replace 4 iron -- have hit it very well !!!!! bought this club to replace my 4 iron which was my 180 yd. club. I actually hit this club a consistent 185 yds. It's very easy to swing and make good contact April 20, 2015
Best hybrid I've ever owned Out of 6 hybrids I've owned this is by far the easiest , straightest , & longest one of the bunch. July 9, 2015
Best hybrid ever Finally found a hybrid that isn't set up for a slicer. I draw the ball and with other hybrids it would turn into a hook. With this club the ball flies straight to a slight draw. Super easy to hit. Very easy to work the ball high and also low to pierce the wind. March 17, 2016
815 hybrid is great After using the X hot 2 hybrids for a couple of years I thought I would try the Alpha 815. I like it much better accurate and holds the green from 200 yards. It is just what I needed. December 17, 2015
Very Forgiving I would describe myself as a "slightly better than average" golfer. I demo'ed 4 hybrids in a store. The Big Bertha Alpha 815 was the most consistent in accuracy and performance. I was a little apprehensive after I bought it when I read it described as a "better player" club. That's not me. I played a round with it yesterday. The club was very forgiving. Good distance, nice trajectory and very, very straight. I had no "big misses". My goal for all of the clubs in my bag is that when I'm standing over the ball, I'm confident of a good result. This club gives me that confidence. September 4, 2015
