    Features & Benefits

    Increased Distance from Jailbreak Technology

Innovative new technology changes how the head and face behave at impact to promote more speed across a larger area of the face for increased average distance.

More Forgiveness and Lower Spin from Exo-Cage Construction

Innovative head construction unites our titanium Exo-cage with an ultra-light triaxial carbon crown and sole, allowing improved perimeter weighting for more forgiveness and makes it possible to position the CG in line with the neutral axis, which lowers spin.

Spin Control and Trajectory Control from Interchangeable Weights

Two interchangeable weights in the head (2g and 12g) to adjust spin-rate and launch angle. Put the 12g up front to lower spin; in back for higher launch and higher MOI.

Fast Head Speed from Industry-leading Aerodynamics

Streamlined head incorporates our proprietary Speed Step, created with direct input from aerospace experts, to improve airflow for more swing speed and distance.

    High-Performance Stock Shaft Options

HZRDUS, Fujikura, and Rogue in three weight classes: 50g, 60g, 70g. Each premium, Tour-proven shaft is engineered to promote speed, power, stability, feel and control:

    • 50g Class: Project X HZRDUS T800
    • 60g Class: Fujikura Pro Green, Aldila Rogue M•AX
    • 70g Class: Aldila Rogue M•AX

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performing driver, just make sure to get "fit" at the right location. I really like this club head! Hard to find a driver without it being draw biased but with the SZ I can work it either direction or just bomb it straight; as long as my good swing shows up that day anyway... The head is very forgiving on off center hits and I like the way the ball seems to stick to the face for a millisecond before launching down range. I got "fit" and purchased at the PGA Tour Superstore in Southlake, TX but did not get the chance to hit anything but the 4 stock shafts they carry. Even though they are listed as a Callaway Performance Center and Fitting Studio (and have many different shafts, from the no up-charge shafts up to the high-dollar Obans) seems you can't hit those unless you pay extra for a fitting, as I asked but was told they didn't have them "available". I ended up settling for the Rogue MAX 65 in stiff flex as it seemed the best option of the four but I've already had to purchase a Blueboard 63 X flex from CPO and am looking at other options from 'ahina to the Obans. Wish CPO took shafts as trade-ins! :-) Long story short: great driver but go somewhere you can hit many shafts if you want full enjoyment from the club. I know I'll be more patient next time I make a club purchase, especially when I decide to pull the trigger on the new Callaway MBs. Those things feel amazing! If they only came in raw finish here in the States...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Game Changer I was quite happy with my GREAT BIG BERTHA ‘16 and had no reason to change until I tried my friend’s EPIC SUB ZERO. Par 5’s turned into Par 4’s and Par 4’s turned into pitch or chip shots. Never had more confidence in a driver until I tried this. Had to reevaluate my equipment and make the change. Trust me, it’s worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First impression was excellent. After receiving the club, it took me a few rounds to tweak the settings that work best for me. The ball launches well, but does not carry quite as far as my Ping G30 LS driver, however the first bounce is higher and the roll is quite a bit better even on freshly over seeded and sold fairways. The total distance is much better than my old driver. I have always been accurate off the tee, so this is a problem. If I have any issue, it is the feel at the moment of contact. It may just be me, but it does not feel as solid, but the result is better. I think it will just take more time for me to get accustomed to the club.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!!! Had the Epic standard version but decided to get the sub zero version to keep my spin down. Definitely lower spinning for me especially with the weight forward. Wish Callaway offered a weight kit as I would like to try my 44.5 inch shaft in it as the head felt strange when I tried one of my shorter shafts with it. It's nice and long when hit with a smooth tempo swing. Thats the key.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GBB Epic Sub Zero Driver It was a great purchase, haven't have a driver that hits the ball farther, it's excellent driver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Added distance and improved accuracy I never considered a new driver, until I played this as a demo. I have a Cleveland Hibore XLS from 2007, and I hit the Epic consistently 25-30 yards further and more accurate. It's taken 4-5 strokes off my game. Great benefit to hitting a much shorter club into the green.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best driver I have ever owned I am not 100% sure on the yardage gained with this club over my previous Callaway drivers. I'm guessing maybe 10 yards or so. The thing I can't believe is how many more fairways I am hitting now. The epic sub zero is my go to club now. I Have played it for about 2 months now and have never hit the ball more consistently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thought club was a gimmick until i tried it! 61 years old, 7 handicap picked up 20 yards and tighter hits to targets! Thought club was a gimmick until i tried it! 61 years old, 7 handicap picked up 20 yards and tighter hits to targets! Tried the Epc regular shaft first, into the wind didn't know where it was going Then tried Epic sub-zero with stiff shaft, wow!! Bought driver after 2 hits!
