Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best driver ever! I received my Epic 9* driver three days ago, and all I can say is WOW! I traded in my Callaway GBB Alpha 815, which was a very good driver, for the new Epic, and I am happy I did! Over the last year I seemed to have lost about 10 yards on my drives, not a huge deal, but my playing partners were starting ti match my drives, after they bought some new drivers. Being 63 years old, I know that losing yards from year to year is normal, but I am not ready to just let that happen with out a fight! Bring on the new Epic driver! After 3 day of massive improvement I am out driving my partners by 30 plus yards! For me this club is very straight, and very long, the best of both worlds! I can truly say I have gained 30 - 40 yards on my normal drives! The worst thing I can say is the sound it makes is muted. After three days, I have come to really like that muted sound, it means the ball is going for a long ride!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Driver Poor Quality Shaft Great Driver. It's just that I've gone through 5 shafts in a month. I'm 19 years old and have a swing speed of 112 mph. The first shaft broke after I struck the ball. The second broke when I was in my downswing. The Driver has great feel and gives you a lot of distance but the shafts are a let down. I had no choice but to return it and switch to a different driver because I didn't want to keep returning it after only using it a week.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Disappointed especially with all the "Epic" hype I thought I would be getting more distance with this new Epic hybrid but it has not been the case. Looks good and feels good but the results are just not there. Also, this is an adjustable club but Callaway did not include a wrench nor instructions on how to adjust - Double Disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CALLAWAY HOWS OUT DONE THEMSELVES WITH THIS ONE I'm now a believer this driver is that good. I was a die hard Taylormade woods fan and as soon as I hit this thing I fell in love. Long straight and a penetrating flight. To top it off, I ordered directly from Callaway on a Sunday with custom specs for me, they built this thing from scratch and had it delivered at my front door on Wednesday morning. I cant explain the greatness of their customer service. They have converted me on my woods but after this experience they may get the rest of the bag as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Review for the Epic I am getting older so I decided I needed a new driver. Been using the m2 with an x-flex shaft. At the age of sixty seven it was getting hard to bring back to square. Bought a 2016 Callaway DD Hit it a few times and put it in closet. Went back to the M2. before I decided what to buy I went for a fitting. (never had a fitting). Tried ever new head and shaft combination that they had. The epic produced what I was looking for. ball speed 145, spin 2200 carry 260 - 270 yards, smash factor 1.45. All hits 3 feet to 10 feet left of center except 1. It was 23 feet off center to the right, but carry was 280. Now the secret is to get the right shaft for you in the epic. I tried 12 different shafts in the same head. Only one shaft was for me. So go get a fitting before you buy anything. If you get a fitting get a good one on tracman and not just a cheap fitting and you will love your new Epic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GBB Epic Driver has given me 20+ yards I went for a fitting and tried 5 different brand drivers with multiple shafts. The clear winner for me was the GBB Epic 10.5 loft and the R Flex Diamana 40 shaft. I thought it may be that time in life for a Senior Flex shaft but R Flex with the lighter weight was the correct combination. I've been using a Taylormade R7 10.5 R Flex for several years and it gave me good accuracy and OK distance and although set to draw I generally hit it straight or a small fade. With the GBB Epic I am at least 20 yards longer. I have it set for a draw and for the first time I am actually seeing a slight draw on my ball. For me this club and the light shaft requires a smooth tempo and a solid shoulder turn. It took some serious ugly slices to wake me up to this fact. Now I need to stay awake to this fact.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from can'tget the distance that I got with my 5 year old TaylorMade I am a woman golfer who consistently hits the ball straight and with good depth. However with my new club, I am having a hard time getting the distance I had with my old driver. The pro adjusted the settings and still am 15 to 20 yards behind my old distance. I talked to another woman friend who got her driver a few months ago. She was having the same problem. Was your club designed with only men in mind?

Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT FOR ME I am a 4.3 index Callaway player. Have been for many years after setting aside Ping and Taylor sets. I am not long but accurate and good around the greens. I cannot give this club a good rating. If I don’t hit it between those two bars and low on the face it gives back a stiff feeling and big loss of distance. I for one did not gain a yard over my Great Big Bertha. And I am talking real world on course distance on my home course. The head is not as forgiving as many I have played from Callaway. I have played this club since March. ( 90 days + three to four rounds a week ) I have used two separate shafts. One I even cut down an inch and swapped in the optional 12 gram set of weights over the stock 17-gram single weight to gain back some swing weight. Still not a fan. I think I have given it a long enough try. Too bad I gave my GBB head to my wife and can’t get it back. I am still 100% Callaway but the EPIC just might be a club for players who can hit the club face within the diameter of a quarter all the time. Time to move back the GBB or perhaps the Fusion GBB. My Epic is headed to eBay. Sorry Callaway. I hope I am the exception.
