2016 Big Bertha OS 7 Iron Mens/Right Technology Item
      • Features &
        Benefits

        • More Forgiveness and Ball Speed from New Exo-Cage Technology
The uniquely light-and-strong design of the Exo-Cage allows more weight to be positioned in strategic locations to increase forgiveness while also helping our next-generation 360 Face Cup technology to function more efficiently.
        • Even More Ball Speed from Next Gen 360 Face Cup
Next-generation 360 Face Cup technology elevates clubface COR closer to the USGA limit to produce even faster ball speeds and more distance.
        • Higher Launch for Longer Carry from Tungsten-Loaded Standing Wave
Tungsten-Loaded Standing Wave technology in the sole lowers the center of gravity to promote a higher launch angle for longer carry and more ball speed on hits low on the face.
        • Progressive Center of Gravity for Increased Control
Progressive Center of Gravity technology entails moving the CG location progressively lower in each head from the highest-lofted to the lowest-lofted, promoting higher launch and long carry in the long-irons and increased control in the short-irons.

Big Bertha OS Irons is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 144.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent feel and consistancy Ok, I’ve had the apex mb going on 3 season now. I’m old school and love the look, feel and consistency of a mb iron. I understand a lot of the new technology benefits, gaining distance and more forgiveness on off center hits, but again I go back to consistency and feel being my key to club selection. That said; I’m moving from a 15 year old set of Titleist 690MBs That I’ve rehabed until they were truly worn out. I loved these clubs and could never bring myself to purchase new clubs over those 15 years as there was no comparison to the new club offerings during those years, until I came across the Apexmb. These are the best clubs I’ve ever used. Buttery smooth feel. The turf interaction is too good for words. The flight and distance consistency is unbelievable. I would strongly recommend these irons for almost any player, especially if you building a hybrid set of players irons using the aw through 7-iron are a nice additio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these irons!! I have only been able to hit these irons once but love them. I can feel a miss-hit which is exactly what I wanted but you simply don't lose the distance you might think. I like playing "old-school" golf and these are the irons to use. Absolutely beautiful! Also, ordered these over the phone with a Callaway rep who was very helpful especially being able to help with weighting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my new irons! These are the first blades I've owned and are absolutely the best feeling clubs I've tried. More forgiving than you'd think! I got fit at Club Champion and tried all the big name manufacturers. These beat everything else by miles. They replaced my 2014(?) Apex Pros which I loved, but these are on another level. The feeling on pure strikes is absolute butter. Yes, I lost a little distance (maybe 1/2 club) and forgiveness, but gained so much in workability and feel. Fly it high, flight it low, draws, fades, anything you want. And I can already see my ball striking improving. These force you to find the sweet spot, but aren't overly punishing on the misses. I especially love the feedback; I know exactly where on the face I made contact. If you're a mid-handicapper or better and are on the fence about these, do yourself a favor: go get fit and buy them. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The MB’s have fantastic feel (using Chrome Soft ball), and are surprisingly more forgiving than I anticipated...l-o-v-e them! I’m an 8 handicap senior, with average club head speed...but pretty consistent ball striking. It’s always fun to “wishfully” demo any new blades on the market (and then return to using my pro offset cavity backs...) That said, to my surprise...the MB’s seemed more forgiving during my demo...so I took a chance an ordered a 6-P set. Well...the more I play them, the better I actually like ‘em! Of course, the MB’s look awesome and have a soft forged feel...but also, the sole grind appears to have more bounce than some other brands I tried. I can always go back to my cavity backs, but after quite a few rounds with the MB’s...I’m not wanting to take them out of the bag anytime soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Updated Classic Apex I've been playing 1999 Hogan Apex irons for the past twenty years. This Apex irons are worthy successor to the legendary heritage that comes with the name Apex irons.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sweet spot bigger than a pea. Yes sir buddy. 3rd set of MBs in my lifetime. I'm surprised at how well the shot travels on off center hits. As blades are designed with on center hits I barley feel the ball leave the club face. The blades have wonderful eye appeal. In the bag, in the hand, at address.....very nice. Some reviews comment on the 3-4 irons appearing fearfully small at address. They look small but this has not been an issue for me. I cracked three fine shots with the 4 last week. A hundred and seventy hooded 4 drove under low limbs. Wasn't butter off the club face but still went quite straight. Unfortunately I have had to become proficient at this shot. These clubs, as blades do drive through the turf after impact crisply. Man I missed all the good stuff blades do. I'm back in the saddle with these Apex MBs and I am very satisfied with the performance I went with The PX LZ stiff. I feel a noticeable snap as the club unloads. i am compressing the ball very nicely once I timed the snap. The PX LZs have relatively low torque. This is priority for any shaft I use. get 'em. Regards, Dirt

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly easy to hit I am 77 years old and a 6.5 index. Been struggling with game improvement, graphite. Senior shaft as my swing speed has slowed to 83 mph. Tried my buddy’s mb’s with S 400 tour stiff steel. They were amazingly easy to hit. Traded in my ap 3’s and ordered the exact same set. Just shot 1 under 71 with them today........love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very enjoyable set of clubs I am a 15 index, 69 years old and continue to enjoy hitting a forged blade - for the purity if/when I swing well and connect, and for the feedback when I miss. These clubs are not a challenge to pick up and play. Alignment is easy and the clubs look great behind the ball. The ball flight is predictable and distance registration is easy with these Apex MBs. These clubs have been a positive playing experience right out of the box and I could not be more impressed; and as an aside these Apex MBs are stunning to look at! I might add that the purchase transaction through Callaway’s sales arm was flawless and first rate.
