    What You Need To Know

      Features & Benefits

The Odyssey Stroke Lab Three Putter is a blade putter with our multi-material Stroke Lab shaft, a milled top line, and a White Hot Microhinge face insert.

      A Stroke of Genius

Stroke Lab is about challenging common, well-established putter norms with innovative ideas that promote better performance. The new Stroke Lab line of putters incorporates a unique new method of weight distribution designed to improve the physical dynamics of the stroke.

Most golfers’ putting strokes are inconsistent. Yet most putting technologies focus on improving alignment or improving the quality of roll. They attempt to mask a given stroke’s weaknesses instead of improving those weaknesses. Odyssey’s new Stroke Lab putter line helps improve the stroke through a profound change in weight distribution made possible by an innovative new shaft*. This is a completely new approach to putter weighting, and only Odyssey has it.

The Stroke Lab shaft is a full 40 grams lighter**, made possible by an innovative new multi-material shaft design that combines a graphite body with a steel tip to net out at just 75g, with most of the mass concentrated in the tip. We’ve redistributed that saved weight by adding 10g to the head in the form of two sole weights, and adding 30g to the grip-end via a 10g-lighter grip and 40g end-weight.

The effect of Stroke Lab’s innovative weight distribution on the stroke is dramatic. Odyssey studies indicate improvements in the consistency of backswing time, face-angle at impact, ball speed, and ball direction*. Feel for the putterhead becomes more acute, helping the golfer repeat the same, smooth stroke time after time.

Stroke Lab putters are targeted at any golfer who wants to putt better (that’s everyone). The Stroke Lab lineup consists of 10 great shapes -- six mallets and four blades – all with our newest White Hot Microhinge insert for smooth roll and great feel, in a choice of pistol grip or oversize grip.

Multi-material Stroke Lab Shaft for Innovative Weight Distribution

Tip-heavy graphite and steel shaft saves 40 grams* that’s relocated into each end of the putter to change performance dynamics.

Slightly Stiffer and Lower Torque for Increased Control

The Stroke Lab shaft is slightly stiffer and lower torque compared to standard putter shafts for to better control the slightly heavier head.

Sole Weights and Grip Weight for a Smooth and Accurate Stroke

Additional weight in the sole and butt-end of the grip change the putter’s dynamics to help golfers consistently repeat a smoother and more accurate stroke.

White Hot Microhinge Face Insert for a Great Feel and Smooth Roll

Combines legendary White Hot feel with dozens of microhinges embedded across the face that promote topspin for smooth roll and acute distance control.

*Improvement claims based on comparison testing versus an Odyssey #7 putter.
** Compared to a standard Odyssey steel putter shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feeling putter Got this putter about a month ago and can compliment it enough. Love the white hot microhinge face. The sound and feel off the face is what I look for in a putter, quiet but solid. It feels very well balanced, which is what the Stroke Lab shaft is suppose to do, and it accomplishes it well in my opinion. This putter #3 has a lot of toe hang, which I learned I needed, and it has definitely helped my accuracy. If you don’t need quiet as much toe hang the #1 would likely work great for you. The look may not be quite as luxurious as other putters, but I’ll take the sound and feel trade off over looks any day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy to square Being able to square up has dramatically improved my putting. Long time blade user (8813/8802, Ansers, Newports, etc) and have always felt he need to push my putts back on line. I don't have to with the 3. I can't speak to the technology but this putter has great feel, super distance control, and squares up better than anything I've ever used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feel, look & square face at impact are key to the Stroke Lab Three Putter Looked for a simple clean blade putter with an alignment line directly above the putter face to give me better chance to feel the distance and control of the putter face to the line of the putt. Finally found it. The multi-material putter shaft gives better feel of the distance and speed for long lag putt. The feel is a balanced stroke, a key to lag close with feel of speed to a certain distance. Love the clean and simple look and the alignment line of this putter. Tried various mallet models always come to the blade putter for me and I found the one. When a putter gives me the best visual alignment, balanced feel of the speed and highest percentage of keeping its face squared at the intended line, I feel I can’t miss no matter what. This putter gives me that confidence and the putter look awesome in style, too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best site to buy the best golf equipment The putter it’s self is in great shape and the price was perfect. The description of condition was dead on. The grip was not the grip I believed it was going to come with. After some practice time I’ve decided to leave the grip it came with and not put a larger grip on. This site is great and has given both my daughter and I the opportunity to have some of the best golf equipment at a very reasonable cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for me. Best putter ever. Shot my age twice this week. Only one three putt. Its a keeper and well worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better distance control Been using a fang mallet putter for the last 5 years. Usually really accurate, but almost always during a round I would have some distance issues. Thought I'd try this blade model after testing one locally. It has greatly improved my putter pacing and after a couple weeks in the bag, I've started to sink a few long putts (over 20'). Because of the lagging improvement, a lot less 3-putting. The built-in counterbalance in the Stroke Lab shaft with the oversize grip gives me more confidence on every roll. Instead of #3 Putter, Callaway might have been better served naming this "Less Than 3 Putter" Shout out to Brian "MacD", Callaway rep!!!
