TaylorMade R7 XD combines Tuned PerformanceCartridge with Inverted Cone Technology which equals distance and forgiveness. The TaylorMade R7 XD irons are a 100% CNC-milled, thin, 6-4 titanium club face material. This increases the COR for higher initial ball speed at impact and longer distance. The weight saved by using Tuned Performance Cartridge helps redistribute weight which produces higher ball speeds and more consistent results on off center hits.
