    What You Need To Know

      Innovation

      Technology Specs

      Apex Irons Technology Item
      • Ultra Hot Face

We made a thinner, hotter face that increases ball speeds across the entire face. You get more ball speed, you get more distance.

      • Forged Carbon Steel Body

It delivers the soft, responsive feel that players demand from a forged club.

      • Tungsten Sole Inserts

They lower CG, maximizing forgiveness and increasing launch angles. It’s a level of playability you wouldn’t expect from a forged iron.

      • High Performance Wide Groove

More consistent spin and pinpoint control from every lie.

      • 2014 Golf Digest Hot List Gold Medal

“When you dare to put the Apex name on an iron, you better bring your A-game. Callaway does this with touches like tungsten plugs in the sole of the long irons that produce a low Center of Gravity (CG) and a lightweight steel shaft. This is an iron with plenty of game-improvement for those who need it.” - Golf Digest

Apex Irons is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 573.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Feel and Performance Upgraded to Rogue Irons after hitting Steelhead X-14's for the last 15 years. Unbelievable feel overall. Solid hits and off-center hits feel and sound good. While I did not see a huge increase in distance (maybe 5 yards), feel and accuracy increase more than make up for that. Graphite shafts are really light - takes some getting used to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these clubs I got callaway to customize loft/lie and shafts. I had them in a few weeks and I couldn't be happier. Great look at address and the feel is way better than the apex pro's I previously had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very enjoyable set of clubs I am a 15 index, 69 years old and continue to enjoy hitting a forged blade - for the purity if/when I swing well and connect, and for the feedback when I miss. These clubs are not a challenge to pick up and play. Alignment is easy and the clubs look great behind the ball. The ball flight is predictable and distance registration is easy with these Apex MBs. These clubs have been a positive playing experience right out of the box and I could not be more impressed; and as an aside these Apex MBs are stunning to look at! I might add that the purchase transaction through Callaway’s sales arm was flawless and first rate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic clubs, a real option to cavity irons I just received these (2-AW) last Friday, and took them to the range at the club on Saturday. I only took 4 clubs, 2, 5, 8,9 because as an 11 handicap I had heard I probably could not hit these until I improved my game and was 5 or lower handicap. Boy is that wrong. These clubs are GREAT!!. I hit the 2 iron better than my older Ping cavity back "game improvement" irons. Not every hit was a clean draw to target, but a higher percentage of my shots with the new MB's hit the desired flight shape and target than my shots with the Pings. And the bad shots simply did not draw, I was probably closer to my target than the Ping irons. And the 5 iron played beautifully. What was really exciting was going for a flag out at 135 yards, and getting a nice shot by opening up the 8 iron face and fading into the flag and also pulling out a 9 iron and closing the face and drawing into the target flag. These clubs don't sound and feel like a cavity back, you don't have the "metal wood" sound on every shot from every club, and maybe you get a little less distance - I give it maybe 5 yards less than the Pings on the high irons, but who cares. The idea is to hit your green, and hopefully run the ball up to the pin or hold the ball close to the pin. These clubs remind me of the clubs I learned on in the 60's, and played as a young man in my 20's. It is "golf" again. One problem on purchasing, when I went to my local golf shop which has the full Callaway fitting package, they claimed the MB was no longer available and MB was not a "19" product. I thought I would have to buy on Ebay and then change the shaft, grip, etc., Fortunately, I found out I could still order these on line. Please keep making these and please put them back into your retail fitters Callaway package. And, get a few trial sets out to shops so that golfers can try these. Golfers who maybe like me are getting the opportunity to play more and with greater regularly but are not yet <5 handicap. If I can play these clubs, anybody can. Thanks for making these available.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As good as previous Callaways I got the X forged irons thinking they would replace my Apex Pro 16s and they are as good. I don't know that I'd call them better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Irons Hands Down I first saw these beauties when the assistant pro at the course I work at showed them to me. Just by look and the thin top line, I knew I had to have these. I am a 4 handicap and have been struggling with my distance control lately on irons. When these came in, I played with them a day later. Perfect distance control and shot -1 on par threes. I can't put in words the perfection of performance, feel, forgiveness, and consistency of these clubs. I had JPX EZ forged and 710 AP2s before these. Softer than ap2s and longer than jpx irons. Can not be happier with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best set of irons I’ve played in awhile I frequently change out clubs searching for a better fit and feel. I had tried the Rogue Pro irons and liked them, but as I get older I find I play better with irons that have an offset. These Rogue irons fit the bill.
