    Features & Benefits

More Speed and Distance from Next-Generation 360 Face Cup Technology

Next-generation 360 Face Cup™ technology increases ball speed with greater efficiency on both center hits and mis-hits for more distance on every swing.

Consistent Launch and Better Feel from Steel-Infused Polyurethane Layer

Absorbs unwanted vibration for great feel. Integrating steel into the urethane adds weight to lower the head’s Center of Gravity for faster ball speed and consistent launch.

More Forgiveness from Hollow Bore-Thru Hosel Design

Hollow Bore-Thru hosel design saves weight that’s repositioned in strategic places in the head to create more forgiveness and workability.

More Control and Distance from Progressive Center of Gravity Positioning

The CG is positioned strategically in each iron to promote consistent launch and long carry in the long-irons, great workability and control in the middle-irons, and lower and high-spinning shots in the short-irons.

    Refined Shaping and Finish

The head shape is more compact, with a thinner topline and narrower sole width in a high-performance player’s iron. And the sleek black PVD finish gives Steelhead XR Pro an unforgettable look

Steelhead XR Pro Irons is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 306.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Forgiving Clubs I have tried all of the new kinds of irons, from ping to Taylor made. You name it i have probably give them a go. I was playing the cf16 apex pro when I saw the epic irons on you tube. The guy that was testing them was complaining about the spin was not high enough , and the cost was way to much. I found a used set of Epic pro on eBay and gave the about a 5 round test. I liked some of the quality's in the irons but it was close to what I had in the Apex Pro Cf16. I sold those and got the Epic Irons, and it was the difference between night and day for me. I really haven't added but about 5 yards of distance , but I hit the ball higher and find the sweet spot more often. I am a 8 handicap player at the moment and I'M 51 years old. My swing speed is around mid 90's. So do yourself a favor, go and hit the Epic irons for yourself and get fitted for the clubs. It will change your game! I have 3 iron - SW that's how much I love this set . I have been using these for about 3 months and dropped my handicap from 11 to 8. I wont say it is all of the epic's help but it is a big part of it. I hit more greens and my ball striking has improved about 30%. Go try these Irons you wont be sorry. I love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very solid and forgiving I am a single digit handicap and liked my equipment but I was long overdue to trade up to new technology over my Callaway X16 Steelheads. Getting into my 50’s and have slightly lost some distance in my irons so I tried a buddy’s XR Steelhead Pros and just grooved them on a regular basis. The ball jumped off the club and feedback was good I had little problem drawing the ball but fading was more difficult. Given that it is a noticeable improvement in clubface tech I expected some distance gains and got about 10 yards extra per club on short to mid irons and more with long irons. Club weight is noticeably heavier than my old clubs but not too much. Even better was the carry distance I got on mis-hits. I like the top line view and the black. Could care less if the black finish wears off...c’mon guys really!?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels like butter through the ball! Love these irons from the moment I first hit them. Hitting the sweet spot is not hard for me, so every time I do, it's like a knife through butter. They swing themselves, all you have to do is put a good swing on them and the club just moves effortlessly! They are very well balanced, so swinging them is easy! I recently won two closest to the pin on par 3's with my 7 iron! Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Confidence builder Love the feel and ease to ball strike. I tested quite few irons before going with these, they won a place in my bag because they perform right away. I didn’t have much adjustment to hitting these. The biggest plus are the step less shafts, great feel and feedback. Very satisfying being able to hit them well right away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect club for me! For the last few years I had Demo'd a number of game improvement clubs to replace my old titleist 690 CB's. I loved the irons but now need something more forgiving. I went to numerous demo days and tried all the major club club companies irons. After narrowing the search to titleist ap2, ap1, mizuno jpx forged, and the Apex irons, I went to a PGA Store and two different golf galaxy stores to continue testing the three irons. The Apex irons with the recoil shafts were hands down the best for me. I loved the look of the irons. The progressive offsets, and the size, and the forgiveness of the iron was the perfect combination for me. I gained as much as 12 to 15 yards further in distance which I needed to get back as I am now 64. The clubs are very workable as I can draw and fade shots as needed. As I said, the perfect clubs for me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good club, not for me I have been playing Callaway Razr XFs for a couple of years, also purchased from Callaway Pre-owned. I love them, and was looking for a 3-iron. This Steelhead XR Pro was good, great distance, but not a good fit with the XFs, which are the most accurate club I've played in 60 years. So this club was returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than advertised I tried a number of clubs. Was a Titliest guy for years. These stood out. All the talk about lack of distance is ridiculous. These clubs require a proper strike. Given that is the case, they are as long as any players iron on the market. Golf is ultimately a game of accuracy, and the Apex Pro's combine distance and accuracy like few others. What is too often overlooked, or improperly recommended, is the shaft. That being said, I have seen too many swings that have no business swinging a players club, complaining about the clubs performance. I mean, seriously, that's like a guy getting behind the wheel of a Ferrari, complaining it doesn't handle any better than his Chevy. These irons are played by the world's elite, enough said.
