Product Overview

Tour Tested Design with more spin and versatility from everywhere.

5V Groove Pattern

39% larger grooves provide 25% more spin out of the rough.

Laser Milled Micro Groove Pattern

Increased surface roughness for more spin and control. Pre conditions the face to add surface roughness after the micro grooves wear off.

Tour-Inspired Shape

Inspired by feedback from Tour, Roger Cleveland has designed a wedge with all the attributes preferred by Tour Players. Forged from 1020 carbon steel for soft feel.

Custom Sole Grinds

C – Grind: Relief is ground out of the heel and toe, which enables golfers to lay the face open while effectively reducing the bounce angle. This allows for proper contact and maximum spin and control. This is our most versatile grind in the bunch.

U – Grind: Inspired by Phil Mickelson this grind increases the dynamic bounce angle (actual bounce of the club when the ball is struck) without increasing the static bounce angle. Perfect for steeper swings or softer conditions.

S (standard) – Grind: The standard grind is relieved in the heel and designed to play shots with a square face.

Finish Options

Chrome produces a smoky, muted look that helps reduce glare. Slate finish oxidizes over time for a distinctive look.

The Mack Daddy of Wedges I tried out a lot of wedges this year and none of them had what this one does. It has a great weight and feel to it when you’re swinging it or just holding it in your hand. I liked the control I had over every detail of my balls flight with this club. It’s easy to manipulate the face and still feel comfortable at address. Do you miss the center of the face when striking the ball? Don’t worry this club has some forgiveness to it. It really powers through the rough grass and the ball still comes out soft if you want it to. Also plays great from really tight lies too. I like them so much I wish Callaway made Mack Daddy Irons! Don't get stuck chasing a name... I purchased the 52 degree wedge (eventually bent it to 50 deg) hoping to find that perfect 100yrd club, something I could use anywhere I wanted from the fairway for short shots. I tried it for a while and then bought a 50 degree Titleist SM4, but wound up back with the MD 2 because it just felt so much better. Soft but solid with plenty of bite with even half shots, only a forged stick feels that good. Since then, I've added the 56 (bent to 54) and hope to soon have the 60... Try these out before chasing a name, do your research and give these wedges a chance.... you won't regret it... September 3, 2013
Astounding I have bought mmy 3 wedge set (52, 56, 60) and i absolutely love them. I have tried 8 different wedges over the past 2 years and this is by far my favorite. i would strongly reccomend these August 11, 2014
Great wedge I feel that this is the best Callaway wedge I have ever used. I have 8 Callaway wedges. The quality, look, feel, and performance are great. I got the 56 degree, 14 bounce with the C grind. It is the best wedge I have ever used. May 23, 2014
An excellent club for my approach from 110 yards out. This club gave me a choice of clubs to make my approach from 100+ yards. Prior to making this purchase I was attempting to adjust the use of my 9 iron to make the shots. This club provides me with the distance and accuracy to get the ball up and hit the green. Best wedge I have ever owned From the first time I hit it, it feels as if the balls grabs the face, I'm always worried about the ball running up the face but not with this wedge. I can hit all the shot around the green, open the face up and blast out of the bunker with confidence. The distance is a few yards longer than my X Forged wedge which I have to adjust to or get rid of my PW and carry 4 wedges which I'm seriously considering. (46, 50, 54, 58). September 8, 2014
Very good wedge Really like this wedge, have ordered a few of them with the Project X Flighted 95 shaft. Really good feel, really good accuracy and versatility. I have been using the 56.14S and 60.14C mostly. Have also used the new Vokey SM5 and the Mack Daddy 2 for me is slightly better over all than the Vokey SM5. My only concern is the durability of the grooves. The micro grooves will wear away fairly quickly but that shouldn't be much of a problem. Will have to wait and see how the main grooves hold up. really like these clubs I bought the 56 sand wedge first, and liked it so much, I bought the 52 wedge. May 22, 2014
