Product Overview

The standard Callaway Golf Steelhead X-16 Irons have a shorter blade length and wider topline than the X-14 Irons, with the benefit of Callaway Golf's new "Notch" weighting. This moves weight to the perimeter for a strong, confidence-enhancing look behind the ball. Each iron has a low center of gravity for strong trajectory and great forgiveness, a cambered sole for better turf interaction, and a soft satin finish with a contrasting, sandblasted hitting area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by The best GOLF purchase I have made!!! Bought these clubs to replace the many hand-me-down sets provided by my father. I have used a wide variety of cheaper clubs. After struggling to correct small things in my swing I went to a Callaway Golf Proffesional for a custom fitting. I order the clubs fit to my measurements and loved them immediatly. My score dropped by 7-10 strokes a round. Very well balanced and forgiving irons, I would have spent the money a long time ago. I would love to hit the newer X-Series Irons from Callaway. Rated 3 out of 5 by I'm being cautious!! As I mentioned before, I purchased this replacement wedge as my original wedge broke at the hosel from a normal swing. That's three clubs in the past month that broke at the exact same spot, wedge, 8 iron and 6 iron. I'm not happy. If I have one more club break, I will never purchase from this site again. Rated 5 out of 5 by My favorite irons Had a steel shafted version of x-16 years ago and promptly regretted trading them in.Bought a set of Mizunos, which were probably fine ,but not for me. The pre-owned came better than I expected (ordered "very good")and have enjoyed the clean lines, brushed finish, but most of all the superb sweet spot feel.I especially like the simple design - no multi-colored cavity and strange protruding pieces of metal (like a commitee put it together)It looks and feels like a slimmed down Big Bertha (another fine iron)Wish I'd discovered this sight sooner November 3, 2011
