Product Overview
These irons provide a golfer with considerably greater distance – with seemingly less effort – along with higher trajectory and increased backspin. They impart more positive head feel throughout the swing and better control of the ball at impact for greater confidence and more enjoyment. The "Short, Straight, Hollow Hosel" (S2H2) is a breakthrough Callaway Golf design that shortened the tradition hosel length, allowing weight to be moved lower and to the more useful perimeter area of the clubhead. The hollowed-out or Tru-Bore Technology is part of the S2H2 design and allows the shaft tip to extend through the clubhead to the sole, which improves feel and control.

I purchased a set of S2H2 irons 3-PW, with regular flex graphite, as an experiment. The shaft flex is incorrect for my swing, and the standard length of the club does not fit my profile. However, there are many redeeming factors in this club design that could benefit those golfers looking to improve their game at a relatively low cost.
S2H2 irons provide:
A blade like feel and appearance, but with moderate perimeter weighting that can save a less than perfect golf swing.
These irons should be considered by the golfer looking for an excellent set that is not bulky and has a sharper appearance, but will improve his ball-striking with instant feedback and still provides shot saving perimeter weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by No Pars Only Issue for S2H2
I bought my set 20+ years ago. What everyone has said is true. The only problem I ever had was the connection between the shaft and head, especially on the 3 and 4 irons. My local repair shops didn't have long term success nor did Callaway when we sent the irons back to them. Bad news for me - I replaced them with some Ping Irons 10 years ago and lost distance. I kept them in my garage and somehow they grew feet and left. I wish I had them back now!

Love these irons! A tad heavier than the contemporary larger & lighter trend in irons, as they are an older 'muscle back' type. It is to be expected though. After becoming accustomed to their weight and balance in my swing, I'm hitting them nicely!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Louie The S2H2 club was a different design
The S2H2 club was a different design than my 3 thru P set. The shape was somewhat different and the inscriptions on the club ( like the number and the S2H2 inscription were different) So it didn't match my set and this was quit disappointing. Would it be possible to replace my 9 iron with a match? The S2H2 inscriotion is in red text if that helps.
