I purchased the Neutral FT-i LCG driver last year at the beginning of the summer and it's been a good decision. I have been very impressed with the consistency the club (even with off-center ball contact) offers. I've launched several 290+ drives on long-straight fairways. The most impressive characteristic, I think, this club brings is that it will keep up with your hands if you really want to rip it every once in a while (I have the Tour-S Fuji which helps).

The best thing about this driver is finding the fairway on off center hits and the draw model does indeed reduce sidespin.

Playing from the fairway will take strokes off your game and is just as important as a good short game.

I give it a 10 out of 10.

I found that the FTi Driver didn't give me any more distance then my 2005 Fusion Driver. In fact I believe I have more control of the Fusion then the FTi. I am 60 years old, 220 lbs, very strong for my age and can consistenly hit the ball over 250 yds. With the Fi I was only able to hit it that far 50% of the time. I had more control and distance with my Fusion.

This is a great driver-the key for me is to swing very easy and hold the club with very little pressure. I tend to hook or draw the ball. I bought the 9 degree stiff and the ball goes straight 250 yds 7 out of 10 times i hit it. I did not gain distance over my other callway driver from 2005 but i gained a ton of accuracy.

First off, I bought what they said was "average condition". If what I got was "average", I'd love to see what "like new" is. It only took one hole not to let the funny shape bother me at address. This club is beastly off the tee. My ball launches straight, long and it rolls. The sound it makes is like no other. It doesn't bother me the least bit. It just lets the group ahead know to watch their backs. I love it.

I was using another older callaway driver and this is definitely a big improvement. I like everything about it and it's easy to hit but you have to work with it to get the most out of it. Once you figure out how to properly hit the sweetspot while not overswinging it goes perfectly. You don't have to have a lot of swing speed to get lot's of distance out of the club! Once you get it; aim the arrow on top and let it go; you can trust the club with no fear and that is amazing. When driving along the creek on the 18th at my local club I have no fear any longer.

I have been using Callaway Drivers since the very first Big Bertha.

The first time I took it to the range I was spraying the ball everywhere and was very disappointed. As it turned out, I was overswinging terribly. When I smoothed out my swing the ball absolutely took off. Even though I got the Draw bias, I can still fade or push the the ball. The club is not MAGIC, but any reasonable swing puts the ball out a good 15-20 yards further than my FT-3. Because of what I had read about the ball flying higher with the FT-i, I came down to the 9 degree loft from the 10 degree FT-3 and the trajectories are nearly the same.

I can't wait to take this on my next golf outing.

I have played about 25 rounds now with my driver. I bought the FT-i 9.5 neutral bias at first and it was definitely longer than my old driver but I still sliced a good bit. I then went and sold it and got a 9 degree draw bias to fix some of the slice. This driver is awesome, I have never hit so many in the fairway and the ball goes long. I was hitting my old driver around 225 yds and now I'm hitting about 270 yds. If you have any doubts then quit thinking and go buy one, make sure you get the right bias though because with the neutral bias I thought I had made a mistake but am very content now that I fixed my slice with the draw bias. I believe this is definitely the best choice for high handicappers that hit out of bounds more than most. I get so many questions about the look of the driver on the course but I don't care if it looked like a brick on the end if it hits the way I want it to ,which it does.

Let me start by saying that I had used a Titlest 975D (8.5*, steel shaft) for the last 8 years. I had gotten to the point where it was time to upgrade to something I could hit more consistantly. It was a close call between the Ping G10, Cleveland HiBore and the FT-i. After some time in a simulator and a lot of reasearch I opted for the FT-i(9*, Aldia Stiff Shaft).

The ball flight is much higher then my 975D and the sweet spot is larger, mishits are not punishing like the Titlest was. I feel like with this club I know where the ball is going with compared to the Titlest which was much more sensitive to poorer swings. With a proper swing this club will do anything you ask it to. If you get greedy and swing for the fences you will run into problems with the FT-i.

The only problems I have with it are somewhat minor. First, the sound takes some getting used to. My first outting on the range with it I noticed it most but now after nearly a month I don't even notice it. The club isn't as workable as some players may like, I feel this is something that can be done though as I have had some success with drawing and fading the ball. Lastly, with this new technology I was hoping for some more distance gained, I am still in the 260-280 range, which is very similar to my 975D, but still leaves me 10-20 yards behind my usual foursome.

I encourage everyone to try the FT-i

I was hitter a last years model X driver, and I loved it as well. I wanted to try the new square FT-i, just for kicks and because my buddy plays a Cobra. We both hit it about the same distance but with the new FT-i I get him by about 15 yards on almost every hole. It is enough distance to turn and ask him if he has heard about the new Walmart they are building, you know between his ball and mine.

FT-i Driver - Straight But Short

The FT-i is, as advertised, amazingly straight off the tee. Unfortunately, the price for that straightness is a lack of distance - it's probably 20 yards shorter than the Clevelend XLS that I also own. Bottom line, when I have swing problems off the tee, I'll pull out the FT-i to help me get it going straight, but it will never replace my Clevelend.

Pretty happy with this purchase, If I'm consistent the club is automatic. When I'm not, it's very forgiving. I would have liked to see a little more distance, but with the 11 degree loft it carries well then drops in soft, but without much roll. Even so I'm playing better and when I hit the spot I get the ohh's from the group.

Over the past couple of years I've used the Taylormade R7, Ping G10, Ping Rapture and Nike Sumo2. For some reason, I just feel really comfortable and confident standing over a square driver. I was looking for something to replace the Nike Sumo2. The stock shaft on the Sumo2 is a little harsh. Plus, to upgrade the sound of the Sumo2 is a plus. My friends affectionately refer to it as the "lunchbox on a stick."

The FT-i is everything it's supposed to be. The slightly smaller head doesn't bother me. The stock stiff shaft gives me just the right amount of feel. My swing speed is generally between 97-105. The 9* and stiff shaft setup is perfect for me. I can easily get more or less loft or work the ball with this driver.

This club really gives me confidence to grip it and rip it, too. I've had multiple drives of 310 yards or more. But, when I'm trying to just hit the middle of the fairway, I can still swing confidently and average 275 just about every time. My dad makes me play from the tips just to keep it fair!

This club will be in my bag for a long time.

This is one of those drivers that if you have never hit it, then you shouldn't jump to conclusions. I borrowed a friends the other day. The first time I hit it, it went 270 straight down the middle. Two more drives were even better. I went and bought one that afternoon. It's worth the money.
