Product Overview
Weight was moved from low stress areas in the crown of the Ping G5 driver and re-positioned in the sole to lower the Center of Gravity for lower spin rates and increased distance. The Ping G5 driver is a robust 460cc driver head that produces a higher moment of inertia for more stability, forgiveness and control. Ball speeds and performance are maximized due to the milled face technology in the Web Crown Design. The Ping G5 driver made the 2007 Golf Digest Hot List.

The club was in like new condition! It took me one trip to the range get the feel of this club as this is the first driver I have ever hit. I usually hit 3 wood off the tee, but now, at age 64.need the extra lenght of a driver. The club sets up nicely behind the ball, and as I have a reverse C swing the extra lenght of the shaft is no problem at all. The club wants to go high and straight but can be worked left to right. I haven't tried to hit a draw.

I just havent used it that much im powerful hitter and it dose go a long way longer than most i think it will be even better once i get used to it good club

I bought it as a gift for a recreational golfer. I didn't get any feedback yet. The price was reasonable enough that's why I got it.

I like it. I always thought my problems were all mine. Maybe they still are but I actually spent money on a good piece of equipment and it has paid off. I am a casual golfer and didn't feel the expense of good equipment was warranted. This club has changed my mind. I enjoy my game a little more because of it, especially off the tee. New irons are in my future. Maybe I will be ready for the Senior Tour.

I had the driver for 4yrs approx and a 1.5inch crack appeared on the face of the club . Never saw this happen before. [...] PING requested that I return club,via the Retailer so that they could assess the damage.I await their verdict.Anyone have this experience before?.There was no Serial Number on the back of the head.Is this unusual?.I play about 4 times a week and play off Handicap 8.00. I read that one of the Pros had a similar incident with a Ping Driver but there is a vast difference between the Pro's clubheadspeed and mine. I was very happy with the G5. Any comments welcome

Great Club. Loft is 13 degree, feel could do better with 10 degree or less.

Club head seems O.K. Grafolloy shaft does not seem to be responsive. No length off tee.

Nice solid driver with alot of forgiveness. The standard shaft is way way way too long. You must cut it down to a proper length. See Tom Wishon's guidance for driver length. Once that is done, you can give this club a rip. High straight shots. Hard to work the ball. Deliberate attempts to fade or draw do not move the ball very far. Aim down the left side with a cut swing results in a straigth arrow down the left side of the fairway. But who needs workability that if you hit it high and straight?
