I have always heard how hard forged irons are to hit for the high handicapper. I find very little difference in results unless I really hit bad shot (that's usually called a laterally challenged shot off the hosel). There is a little difference in off center hits but on center hits really reward you. My previous irons were Callaway X18, I like the X Tour forged better.

I went from the X-16 to the X-tour and transistioned with ease. I was looking for something with more shot shaping ability but still allowed the forgivness and accuracy of a cavity back. I have found that in these clubs.

I like the look, however i do not like the heavy feel compaired to my old x-12's. I have played 4 or 5 rounds with them and have gotten used to the heaver feel of the club head but still not sure why they are made that way. I think it makes me hit the ball a bit higher and in kansas that is not always so good. I actually went to a pro with the temper pudiac shaft software (wires connected to the clubs which connected to this laptop) before purchasing for obviews reasons. I like the S300 shafts and the price of the clubs was stupid cheap, but still not sure if the x-tours are a good fit for me.
