I have had a full set of VFT Irons 3-PW since 2002 and I play at least twice a week.They are a great club for distance, forgiveness and elevation without too much effort on the golfers part. I always get comments from other golfers how good they still look after seven years use. Also they seem to be exclusive as I have only met one other player who owns VFT Irons.

The Hawkeye VFT irons are as good as any iron set on the market today. Easy launch with the tungsten weights, sole design gives them easy playability from a variety of lies, and distance and forgiveness are equally impressive. They were discontinued most likely because of their prohibitive retail cost (over $1200 when launched a decade ago). But if Callaway could find a way to produce these at a lower cost, they would compete with, and probably overtake the X series as Callaways most popular line of irons.

Being a high-handicapper, I don't always make good ball contact. When I do hit the sweet spot it flies! But, hitting near the toe of the club causes painful vibration (typical?). When I get better I am sure these clubs will be ready.
