Comments about Callaway Golf Fusion Wide Sole Irons:

Had the Hawkeye VFTs w/ steel, went to the BB Fusion regular sole set w/ graphite, not as forgiving as the VFTs, but was looking to save weight, getting older ... read the Maltby Playability charts again and found the VFTs were higher than the Fusions, but the Wide Soles were the highest Callaway iron ... initially didn't like the wide topline view at address, but now after playing them a couple rounds, I love how they feel and perform.

A lefthander never gets satisfied with his clubs and is always willing to try something new. This time the effort was well worth it as I have improved my 6 iron play dramatically.

Comments about Callaway Golf Fusion Wide Sole Irons:

I did not expect to like these clubs. I bought the six iron as an add on because I was testing my swing with various six irons. After the first swing at the practice range I couldn't believe how much I liked playing with this club. It was easy to hit and the ball flew further and higher than any other club.
I put the six iron in my bag for my Saturday round. After the round I came home and ordered the rest of the set.
I don't have the time to practice as much as I would like. These clubs have given me more confidence in my irons.
Now I'm more worried about losing an iron on the course or practice range than anything else.

Comments about Callaway Golf Fusion Wide Sole Irons:

I purchased these after having a set of X-20s custom fit to me a few years back. As someone who doesn't mind the look (they look like hybrids), I must admit that they are fantastic and consistent. I had read that distance fell upon receiving them, but I'm within 5 yards (to the good) of the X-20, and much more accurate. The only con is the relative lack of "feel," but if you're just aiming for the green versus trying to affect ball flight, these are perfect.

I'm 60, don't swing as fast as I once did, went with these in the graphite shaft---I gained 10 yards per club, and they have a solid feel when I flush it, and are very forgiving if I don't. They do just what I had hoped they would. Perfect!

Without a really familiar eye it can be hard to visually tell them apart. Performance wise though, it will be easy to tell the difference. You will be safe if you are buying from an authorized Callaway dealer. Also the vast majority of counterfeit clubs that we see were originally purchased on auction sites.
