I have been using the Pro X18 clubs since last year and they have improved my game drastically. For the first year using these clubs I have went from a 18 handicap to 12.

Even though I prefer blades, these irons have a similar look, but take all the pressure off in the hitting of them.

I lost my 6 iron in Las Vegas. I was able to get a replacement ship to me by the time I got back to Seattle. Club's condition was much better than the rest of my clubs.

These are good irons for the better player. They have the peripheral weighting of Callaway irons, but have a much better look. There is not much offset and the blade is shorter, so they look good at address. Big Bertha irons are huge and have a huge sole, which bounces off the turf.
The X-18 Pro has a smaller sole which is more like a normal tour iron.

Most irons perform similarly, according to research. As was written, once there is peripheral weighting, you don't need to take it to extremes. X-18 Pros have it, but not so much that the club looks like a driveway tamper.

I am using a very lightweight steel shaft, that I have not seen elsewhere. I'm not sure whether I like the shaft or not. I don't like graphite shafts in irons, since they usually make the clubs 1/2 to 1 inch longer to match swingweight and then you've got a club that is too long. My particular favorites are the sensicore shafts in soft flexes.

I still don't understand the claim that pro-like irons allow you to work the ball better. Makes no sense from a physics standpoint. Off center hits from a blade iron go sideways and short, and this is what everyone says is workability. Off center hits with game improvement clubs don't go as far off line, so maybe people think this is less workability.

But when did physics have a role in marketing?

The feel of the club is fantastic.Certainly altered my ball tragectory.
