Comments about Callaway Golf Big Bertha Irons (2002):

On the pre-owned site the 2002 Big Bertha irons were listed as 'Very Good' condition. When they came out of the box however, I could have sworn they were brand new. Even the grips looked untouched.

As for playability, these irons have a large sweet spot and are tremendously forgiving. The cavity back design makes shots out of the rough a breeze. I recently took up golf and in my last game I hit 10 out of 18 GIR thanks to these irons. Now if I could only putt...

I had this set of Big Bertha irons for 3 years, so when I lost my 9 iron I was beside myself. The replacement club is an exact match and feels as good as the old one. BBs have made me more consistent.

Has been a great club for me off tees with a tight fairway, or as a second shot on par fives. Very solid feel, I hit the hell out of it.

The clubs feel and look great! I'd expected a nice set of clubs, but about half of these don't appear to have ever been used. Also nice to have my instructor tell me what a great set of clubs I'd gotten.

I am looking at the possibility of buying some secondhand callaway big bertha irons. How can I be sure they are genuine? I have read that the 8 iron should have a serial number on the hosel. If this is missing are they definitely fake? These clubs have uniflex steel shafts and look like the 2002 models. They are a set from 5 iron - wedge

Not all of the clubs will always show the serial number on the 8 iron hosel. If they have ever been refurbished than the serial number may have been buffed off. You can call our corporate location in California at 800-588-9836 and they may be able to assist you in checking the authenticity of the clubs.

The 10 iron is considered a pitching wedge and in this particular set of 2002 Big Bertha irons is 46 degrees.

10 is the pitching wedge, the wedge is a gap wedge. There was a sand wedge made for this set as well.

Yes, They did make a 3 iron for that model. Because it wasn't part of the set it was as popular and very few were made. We get a few in each month, but I would suggest going with a newer model like the 2008.
