Product Overview

X Fairway Woods offer superior turf interaction, alignment accuracy and more penetrating ball flight. With Callaway Golf's new X-Sole design, the clubhead rests on two distinct, raised areas of the sole, eliminating the tendency of the head to rock back and forth at address. That means a more consistent alignment that will help ensure your shots start off on-line. A lower leading edge allows you to hit down under the ball, especially helpful on tight lies. Internal weighting is positioned ideally in each loft, making it easy to get the ball airborne and resulting in a more ideal trajectory.

Comments about Callaway Golf X Fairway Woods (2006):

I use this in longer fairway shots where the ball is somewhat level with my feet. For other fairway shots, my most consistently reliable club is my Callaway 5 Wood even in some low rough. As a matter of fact, just yesterday, I hit my 5 wood from a fairway bunker where the ball was atop the sand 160 yards toward the green.

Great set of woods - while there has been an adjustment period for the rest of my set, I've hit these true since the first swing. Very forgiving & great feel.

We have a par 4 at our club with a large body of water in front of it. Before I purchases my X 5 wood, I would always come up short and wet. Now, with my X 5 wood, I'm high and dry all the time. Txs Callaway Golf Pre-Owned. I saved on my club and am still saving every time I don't have to lose a ball in the drink!

                          A:

Average clubs have been used but not abused. They will show normal wear from frequent play and may have natural scratches, pop up marks and/or bag wear on the shaft. These are great clubs for those looking for performance and value and are less concerned about cosmetics.

Is good condition - club subject to a few scatches but no damage of any sort?

I have a driver with a stiff graphite shaft - should a fairway driver match the driver of the shaft of my steel shaft irons.

I assume prices are in US dollars and a conversion is neccessary (Country NZ)

                        Thanks

                          A:

Yes, good condition will have some scratches and will show up to about 100 rounds of golf wear but they will not be damaged. As for the fairway woods, they should actually match your driver shaft. Last, if you do purchase from our website, the pricing will be listed in US currency.

A uniflex shaft has is in between a regular and stiff flex and is the most common shaft in golf. It adjusts to your swing speed so if you swing fast it will play as a stiff, and if you swing slower it plays like a regular flex.

A uniflex shaft has a flex in between a regular and stiff and is the most commonly used shaft in golf. The shaft will adjust to your swing speed so that if you swing harder it plays more like a stiff, and if you swing easier it plays more like a regular flex.

A senior shaft is more flexible and is going to be designed for someone with a slower swing speed (80-90 mph) and stiff shaft is designed for someone with a higher swing speed (90-100 mph).

Both are great models. I played the 2006 for 2 years and I now play the 2008 model. As good as I'm playing the 2008 models I don't think I'm going to change my fairway woods in the next 1-2 years.
