I am a Beginner golfer, just started. Play probably once/year. I do manage to hit decent shots with the driver. Now i am getting more fascinated with the game. So did not want to spend too much $$ to get a club of my own, so was very excited to see the Big Bertha Drivers here for such an Incredible price.Did make the plunge and got me one. Great price [...] On arrival, they included a free New Callaway Headcover for the Driver. I think the headcover was more than the $ i spent on the driver.Yesterday i hit the greens, and wow was i impressed with the range i was getting. Very impressed with the pricing of the clubs and overall experience with Callaway preowned products. Thank You !

i don't need a driver with a clubhead the size of a 5 gallon bucket... in fact, i can't hit those monsters anyways! i used a G.B.B. warbird for the last 5 years until the shaft snapped and the clubhead went to a watery grave at the bottom of a river. when i got the new one i was on the first tee the next day and launchin bombs just like before. LOVE this driver man!

great distance and not hard to hit, but once you hit it hard and off line you know for sure it is gone. The extra distance makes it harder to be accurate.

I haven't yet gotten the strength to push this driver to its maximum but I can still drive an easy 180 yards.

Okay, I'm an athletic 55 yo that just recently decided to start playing golf.I recently went through 3 different drivers including the TM Burner Draw and the Callaway FT-5. My swing mechanics are definitely coming together, but I found that with these other drivers unless my form was very close to perfect I would usually hit a bad slice into the woods. Also, the crack sound coming from one of these big head 460cc drivers was never that pleasing. ENTER the Great Big Bertha (7.5 degree) with the Grafalloy shaft that I just found here in Good condition for only [$]. (AMAZING!)SHOCKER:The first shocker was when I got it out of the box and saw that the head was not much larger than my 3 wood. The second shocker was when I went to the driving range and saw how easily I could hit with this club!FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS:My mis-hits are probably one in ten with this club which is pretty good for me. And the ones that I do hit solid go pretty darn straight. I've yet to hit a slice with this thing. When I do get into that over-the-top baseball bat swing thing with this club, the ball goes into more of a power-fade thats hard to describe, kind of like a rising fast ball with a half cork screw motion from the lower left to upper right, BUT then the ball just descends straight downward or at a slight angle rather than continuing to sail off to the right. Even this is a joy to watch. AND, I find that I can actually hit draws with this thing just by closing the face a little on impact.DISTANCE:At first I was convinced that this driver did not hit as long as my other drivers, but here's the deal - With a loft of 7.5 my TaylorMade Burner (9.5) will "look" like the ball is traveling farther but this is because the arc of the ball is higher. When struck with equal swing speeds the Great Big Bertha actually carries the ball probably about 20 to 40 yards further down the fairway. I am sure that this is partly due to the additional bounce and roll you get with a lower trajectory. My best drives have probably been somewhere in the neighborhood of 260 yards, and again, I am still a beginner with a likely swing speed of somewhere around 90mph (or so I have been told).THE FEEL:This is my first opportunity to hit an all metal club rather than the half metal/half plastic combo you get with the new fancy drivers. Sure, the new clubs will give you a bigger club face to hit with, but for me there is nothing like the feel of impact with a solid chunk of metal. And with a really good swing plain, keeping the shaft angle at 45 degrees on impact and so on, the ball really rockets off the tee like nobody's business.ONLY GOOD FOR EXPERIENCED GOLFERS?No way! I am not sure where comments like this come from. My swing speed is not that great. My form is still coming together, and now after using this club at the range and after a few rounds of golf I am starting to be able to see a way that I could get very close to hitting par on most holes, which is something that I could not even begin imagine a couple of weeks ago. (And my local course is pretty challenging, slope 125). With a little more work on my irons and chip shots, I be there!

I am quite pleased with this driver. I have never had comfort swinging a driver, my best driving wood is a 3. However with this club I am gaining confidence and comfort with a large driver. I have only used it on the driving range but am looking forward to trying it on the links.

It was rated as average condition but I was very surprised that it was better than I had expected! The new grip and head cover were great and I was impressed with the overall condition of the club. I would not hesitate to buy other clubs from Callaway as well!
