By positioning weight to the extreme corners of the clubhead, the FT-i Driver produces the highest Moment of Inertia of any driver on the market today, resulting in unparalleled forgiveness. Our largest, most robust CT/VFT Titanium cup face is designed to the legal limit as defined by the USGA Characteristic Time test, for increased ball speed, distance and forgiveness.         I had a FT-3 that I picked up last year as a "starter driver", but had a lot of trouble hitting fairways. The FT-I tour is getting me a little less distance, but I am hitting probably twice as many fairways as I was last year. Thing sounds wicked loud when you hit it right, and you know by the sound if you missed it. I am really enjoying the game with this club.

            This thing is L A R G E off the tee. I hit driver, 6 iron into the par 5, 18th the other day. On another hole, someone said to me "I have never seen anyone down this far before!". I got the xtra stiff shaft and this club is awesome. Service from Callaway pre-owned to OZ is excellent btw.

              Took this club to my club builder and needed to change the shaft to a Xstiff Flex and now my average Drive is 275 yards. I've played with Taylor Made for the past 5 years and now I have made the total change to irons and all woods to Callaway however still love my Taylor Made Hybrids.

                I used a friends FT I 9o with draw bias,regular shaft, and is an excellent club.
                I am 68, play of 10, use a 9.5 driver,stiff shaft, and hit 240/245 yds.
                I was approx. 105 mph swing but now getting ancient and looking to get the FT i tour 9.5 regular shaft, with draw.
                Your comments on the shaft would be appreciated.

                  A:

                  No matter how old you are if you are still swinging at a 105 mph swing speed I would recommend staying with the stiff shaft. Until your swing speed gets down below 90-95 mph I would not recommend a regular shaft.

                  Standard Length of the FT-I Tour is 45.75 inches. This driver is .75 longer then most standard drivers at 45 inches.
