Product Overview

Fade it. Draw it. Or take it over the trees. If you’ve got the creativity in your game to imagine golf’s most incredible tee shots, the new FT-9 Driver is made just for you. Callaway Golf engineers were able to expand on the success of the FT-5® and surpass expectations with the FT-9 Driver. With the addition of Hyperbolic Face Technology, ball speeds across the entire face have been dramatically improved to generate even more distance off the tee. Golfers will have the option to choose Draw or Neutral configurations with the help of external web weighting that helps precisely position the CG to promote the desired trajectory and ball flight for the desired shot shape.

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-9 Drivers:

I bought FT-9 (Neutal), First few days I was very disappointed either slice or draw, but have couple of very good shot. Based on few good shot I worked on this 7 consicutive days make it happened. Now I love it- goes straight and great distance.
Need little more practice to handle it. Once done you love it.

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-9 Drivers:

I used to use the Hyper X and enjoyed that driver but one of my buddies got an FT-9 and after trying it I bought my own. No doubt that this is 15-20 yards longer for me.

Some of the previous Callaway carbon type drivers didn't quite have the feel right but they really got it right here.

I bought the draw bias driver and is of no advantage ! I believe the shaft is not compatible with the head.

Very workable even for a high handicapper. The draw bias was just enough to get me in the fairway & still be able to work the ball some

I upgraded from the FT-3. Gained approximately 15 yards in distance plus straighter. A definite improvement in my game, I can put drives where I aim them!

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-9 Drivers:

This club is simply the best of the FT series of drivers that Callaway has ever made. The feel off the tee is responsive and gives you the opportunity to work the ball while NOT compromising distance and accuracy.

The club gives you feedback on every swing, feels light and powerful off the tee. The best result with this club is the distance you'll get. I played the FT-5 previously and gained 7-15 yards with this new driver nearly immediately.

Comments about Callaway Golf FT-9 Drivers:

Have had this driver in play for 5 rounds now. All I have to say is that its buttery sweet. I have the Draw version I-Mix which has helped straighten my tendency to slice. Also noticed a slight gain in distance.

Good Bye right side......Hello center cut!

senior but still ok. How much effect does a draw set up have over a neutral? i use to always be a draw hitter, but time has changed that. still not a slicer though.

The neutral bias is for a golfer that consistantly hits it downe the fairway. The draw bias is for the golfer that hits it to the right and would like to correct that. If you are using a draw and it works for you, than I would stick with the draw.

We usually recommend a stiff shaft for anyone who has a swing speed of over 90 mph and a regular flex shaft for anyone with a swing speed from 80-90 mph.

Hi, I am a lefty with a swing speed in the 90's, about 200-225 yards, 62 years old, mid-handicapper, sometimes i will push the ball to the left, small slice. I am presently hitting the Hyper X , which controls the left push/slice a litte better. I am looking for a little more distance and of course to eliminate the slight slice.I am hitting the X22 irons with no problems.Should i look at the FT-9 or ??? what would you suggest, please

If you tend to slice the ball a little bit I would recommend a driver with a draw bias. Being a mid handicap I would suggest the Diablo or FT-9 driver with a regular shaft and with the draw bias. For more information please call our sales department at 1-800-200-4726.

A senior flex shaft is recommended for someone with a swing speed from 70-80 mph and a regular shaft is for someone with a swing speed of 80-90 mph. Without a really familiar eye it can be hard to visually tell them apart. Performance wise though, it will be easy to tell the difference. You will be safe if you are buying from an authorized Callaway dealer. Also the vast majority of counterfeit clubs that we see were originally purchased on auction sites.

The FT-5 and the FT-9 are very comparable. What you will find in the FT-9 is that it is hotter off the face, meaning it will generate more distance than the FT-5 off the tee box.

The Epic shaft is a Graffalloy shaft. It is a mid to high kickpoint with a mid torque. This will keep the ball flight lower. It is one of the more expensive Graffalloy shafts that we offer.

The 'draw' bias is generally geared more towards the golfer that has a fade or a slice that they are trying to get back to the middle.

But it could also be used to do what you are describing although I think most fitters would not reccommend it.
