The Warbird was my first golf club purchase. I was using my dad's old MacGreggor blade irons from the 60's and some old persimmon headed woods. In the late 90's I bought the Warbird when I was in high school...it was a "demo" club at one of the local ranges. I purchased it for a price I could afford at the time. (with payments of course!) At 5'7" I consistently drove 300+ yards with the old bird. Since owning other Callaways and Taylor Mades, I've yet to average more than 270. It was one of the most consistent clubs I'd ever played and certainly it etched itself into the minds of enthusiasts all over. One of my roommates in college broke it on the course - I never got around to fixing it. I value it a lot more today when I recall just how great of a club it really was. I want to find another! :)

I don't get out on the course much, which is why I never bothered with the more expensive clubs. I've been using a really cheap set of clubs that I bought over 10 years ago for no more than $110, and that includes woods and irons! I just recently 'upgraded' to the Big Bertha Warbird Driver. I bought this because I loved the club when I was first starting out about 15 years ago, and have always wanted one since. I found a used version that looks and feels as new as any club in the stores today. I can't describe how much it has improved my distance and accuracy! Not to mention I can keep up with my buddies whom all seem to have the latest technology at their disposal, but at a much lower cost! Great club, great company!

I had a 3 wood with this same shaft and I loved it. I'm now looking for a set irons with RCH 96 senior shafts.

This driver is perfect for someone who wants to upgrade technology but doesnt want a big driver head. The only thing between me and my driving improvement is my own capability to hit the club consistently.

This is a great club. I can hit 270 yard bombs with this club, that are consistently 20 to 30 yards further than my buddies who were using 460cc drivers. Very accurate as well.
