Comments about Callaway Golf Hawk Eye VFT Drivers:

I haven't played in a year, but when I played I had a slice. Just getting back into golf now and went to the driving range. It was like I just jumped back into where I left off...slice. I found this website because I wanted a quality club without breaking the bank. [...] for what they deemed "average" I thought was like new. I was chomping at the bit to get this club in the mail and it didn't disappoint. It didn't cure my slice, but it was night and day from my old driver. Very forgiving and I hit longer with it(a 260 yard tee shot that's straight for me is an accomplishment at this point). Nice big sweet-spot and I have been straightening my slice ever since...almost there. Love this club.

Comments about Callaway Golf Hawk Eye VFT Drivers:

Much longer of the tee. I should have got the 11 degree as I hit low tee shots anyway. I cut one and one half inches off the shaft for better swing control. It has a different sound but I'll get used to it. Not for fairway shots. I like the smaller head size. Can't stand those 460cc driver heads everybody is using. Quite frankly, I like a 300cc driver head. I get the same distance as the big ones and the feedback is better with a smaller head......

Comments about Callaway Golf Hawk Eye VFT Drivers:

I was looking for a used quality driver but did not feel comfortable with the currently popular enormous headed clubs. I set out looking for 300 cc to 350 cc and the Hawkeye fit the bill. The club and grip were in excellent condition for being rated just Fair. I found it easy to swing, accurate and long but could use a bit more shaft flex as I am a senior golfer.

I am a huge Callaway fan always sporting callaway irons, fairway woods and Driver.

I have been using my VFT for over 8 years and have put it up against the latest and greatest models ($300 - $500 Drivers) at the range. Tey are all within 5 yards of each other ! I cant justify a new driver based on performance, but maybe I can buy one because of the guy factor - see it and want it ! Oh and change the grip to what you like not what they give you !!

what is the difference between the hawkeye driver and the hawkeye pro driver? are swing speeds a factor when considering the purchase of one versus the other?

Asked on 9/20/2009 by ted the bear from huntington beach california

                        A:

There are a couple of key differences between the standard version of the Hawk Eye and the Pro Series version. At address, the standard version will have a slightly closed face at any loft higher than 9 degrees. The Pro Series face angle will be square at address, which makes this driver a better fit for the more accomplished player that wishes to "work" the ball. The shaft in the standard version will also be a little lighter and will help to get the ball up in the air more so than in the Pro Series version.
