Rated 5 out of 5 by JWNRW Best Putter For Me Yet
Here's the thing -- there is no perfect putter for everyone. and the only way you can determine whether a putter will work for you is to get to a good putting green and get some clubs in your hands. The one which feels the best is the one you should take home. And that is how I chose this putter.
I spent hours at the local putting green with just about every Odyssey putter that I could get my hands on. I even tried a couple of Taylor and Ping putters, but I quickly moved back to Odyssey.
I thought at first that the new Dart or 2-ball mallets would work best, but found them both clumsy feeling. Then I tried the Mini-T which I wanted to love, but couldn't quite get the feel I was looking for. Then is was the Sabertooth 2 and the Teron - but came up with the same sense of emptiness. Something just wasn't quite right. So -- I decided to be drastic (for me anyway) and moved off the mallets, to try a few blades. I a Dart and 2-ball blade, and a White Ice 4, and even a Rossi - but still found that I wasn't feeling it with any of these putters.
Just when I was about to give up -- I finally landed on this little gem of a putter -- sitting all on its own in the corner of the putter shelf. The bronzed finish stood out for me, and as I took my time around the putting green, this started feeling better and better. It feels so good in my hands, and gives me a true feeling of the club being an extension of my arms.
I have never used a blade before, but found that as I use this putter, it actually forces me to be a better player. When it is hit true, the putt is perfect -- it's as simple as that. Even off-hits get there -- although will suffer for accuracy if not hit on-centre.
I would say that the sound is distinct, but not soft. In the sound off the face is impossible for me to differentiate from putters without an insert.
Spend an hour or so with this putter - and if you find, like me, that you are making or just about making every single putt at any distance and angle, then make a home for it in your bag. If not -- then simply move onto something else. Odyssey have plenty of styles that should suit any player.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Leadbone Great Putter at a super price
Switched from the Ping anser 2 to the White Ice #1. Very simular in construction but the difference was feel and length. The Callaway is two inches shorter which is a better fit, and I was able to add a couple of raps which fits my hands better. I love the way it is weighted. Very consistant in the back swing and follow thru. Putts seem to roll off the soft insert better than the metal Ping putter. Outstanding putter for any level of Golf.

Excellent feel and balance.
The face gives great feedback so distance control is not an issue. Easy to align.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sammie C Great all-around putter
Great Putter. I tried it out at Dick's one time and fell in love with it. The weight is incredibly balanced, too. I would recommend it to anyone!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bolts Fan! White Ice #1 is one steady putter!
This putter is slightly heavier than my previous putters, but the weight is truly balanced. I strongly recommend Odyssey for those that are serious about improving your game. Very solid product - remember to keep it steady!

I putt very good at times, so-so other times. I decided to switch from a mallet to a blade and tried every putter at the pro shop, including malletts for comparison. The White Ice #1 was the last putter I tried because it was in a golf bag at the end of the display rack and I had not noticed it. Right away, I consistently nailed four to six foot putts with it. I also liked the looks, balance and feel, so I picked it (after four hrs. at the shop). With a couple days practice, my feel on longer putts improved to excellent. I think the new insert is a winner and this putter is a winner. I thoroughly cleaned up this past weekend; I hope this continues. PS I also like the grip, great feel.
