RAZR X Forged Irons
Most forgiving Forged Iron out
I traded my FT irons for a "combo" set with these and Razr X Muscleback. I have these in my 4, 5, 6 irons and all I can say is WOW!! I am by no means a scratch golfer, but I have not lost any distance. Even with the weaker, more traditional lofts. Ball lands softly with every iron. I have gotten my 4 iron to hit and stick from 195 yards. Something I've never been able to do with ANY iron I've owned. The one thing that I have noticed, is that with the use of these clubs, my overall ball striking with all clubs has improved greatly. I still hit a bad one or two, but as long as the face is square at impact, you'll just lose distance, but it can slice and hook with the best of them on a bad mishit. Overall, I recommend these to any person looking to take their game to the next level. Never be intimidated by forged blade style cavity back irons with a thin topline and sole. The only thing they can do is make you better in the long run and help you perfect your swing.

Purchased a 4 iron only as a test. I figured if I could hit the 4 I could hit them all. Hit 12 out of a 50 ball bucket and left the range to order the full set. I've been playing golf for 30 years and have played practically every iron on the market. These are without doubt the best. Easy to hit, superb feel with great distance. Number one in my book

Blade look with a cavity back for forgiveness
I purchase the Razr X forged 3 and 4 iron with the tour KBS x-stiff shaft.
I am literally speechless on how solid these irons are. I have played callaway irons for the X-14 to the present club line. Consumer listen these are the best on the market. Take it from a 4 handicap on a course slope rating of 130 plus.

The forged iron are everything the other club makers are missing.
The other club manufactures are missing the sharper leading edge. that sharper leading edge picks the ball off the turf and gets the spin on the ball better than any other on the market. The squared off toe thin topline is pleasing to the eye and give me a great sense of confidance at address like a surgens scapple. I looked at all the club manufactures and they all look like a clumbsy big toe getting swung. Love these clubs.

I have been playing about 3 years now and I just stepped up to a quality set of irons (had been playing a set I bought from the place that rhymes with 'Ball Smart') and all I can do is sit here with my mouth open. My RAZR X Forged irons were delivered this morning and I managed to get 9 holes in at lunch before the rain started. The very first hole, 2nd shot on a par 5, I put it on the green with the 3 iron and made birdie! I have never even come close to the green in 2 on this hole before. And the control is exceptional! I generally go straight at the flag on every hole because I am not good enough to shape my shots. These irons hit dead straight almost every time and I was stopping the ball on a dime.
I am giddy about these clubs and cannot wait to see what I can do for a full 18 holes. The first 9 was a best ever +4 with 4 pars and a birdie.

Have my RAZR Driver, fairway, irons (RAZR Forged) since March. Handicap was 6 and now it is 3.2. Words can not discribe how pleased I am about the clubs. Golf is great.

These are awesome!
So I was playing the x-22 tours and wasn't sure if I could go to the forged clubs or not - I thought only pros could play them. I went ahead and hit some of these at a local pro shop. They are amazing! I'm a pretty good ball striker, but I'm not close to pro. The sweet spot is large enough and they feel smoother than anything else I've ever hit. Crazy accurate. The feel is unbelievable.
I wouldn't necessarily recommend these to a beginner because I think the 'game improvement' irons are your best bet, but if you are in between the tours and the x-forged, I would highly recommend these clubs! They offer a lot of forgiveness. I will admit that the 3 & 4 irons are a little tougher to hit pure than with the tours, but still very forgiving nonetheless. There's no greater feeling than hitting a pure shot with forged irons.
One other note that I have for differences between the tours and the forged. The tours are designed for a straighter ball flight. I could move the tours left and right (sometimes unintentionally), but they were great irons for players wanting to hit the straight shots. With the forged, you can move the ball back and forth very easy - and high and low. The disadvantage I see to below average ball strikers is that your fade and draws get exaggerated with the forged into slices and hooks. If your swing is dialing up a slice, the tours (or other game improvement irons) may limit the amount of slice that results, whereas the forged will react much more accurately and your miss will be greater - hence, that's why I think you should at least be playing the tours to think about playing these. But if you are a decent ball striker and you like the tours, definitely try these out before you make your final decision. I guarantee you if you make decent contact with the tours, you'll find the same level of forgiveness with these forged irons.
Plus, I bought "Like New" on this site - they sent me brand new irons - never hit from what I could tell. Basically I saved $400 (because they had a 17% off promotion going) from buying brand new from my local shop.
However, when you get these in (or any club from any manufacturer), get them checked out by your local club maker. All but one of my clubs were off on both lies and lofts.

One of the best irons from Callaway !!!
I don't own a set, but have been able to try them through a friend of mine who used to play on the PGA Tour and is now a clubfitter. Out of all the x-tour/x-forged series, this is by far Cally's best forged offering barring the razr mbs. One of the softest feeling forged irons on the market today and I've tried them all from Miura, TMAG, Vega, Honma, etc. I could also hit fade and draws with them as well. They launch plenty high and have some degree of forgiveness as well although they are not for beginners or intermediate level golfers. Unfortunately, they were shafted with Project X 6.5 when I tried them and those shafts are known to make irons feel harsh and vibrate. I normally hit my 5 iron 200 yards with a 100mph iron swing and found these to be a 1/2 club short which is fine with me as I had good accuracy which is a fair trade off. Overall one of the best forged irons out on the market hands down.
