Long Great club condition, replacing my 7 wood and 3 iron in the bag. Crazy height and distance on the ball and very straight if thats what your trying to do. June 15, 2013
Great Product - One Major Flaw This golf club sadly follows a trend that has seen me go from buying Callaway exclusively for *all* equipment to an occasional purchaser. I have bought over the last 7-8 years I'm pretty sure over 100 Callaway products, everything from cell phone cases to sunglasses to drivers. This club was in excellent condition--so I thought--and I was floored by its versatility and length. I hit my 5-wood and 18-degree hybrid between 205 and 225 yards, so I was stunned I could hit this club with a 24-degree loft about the same--even with range balls. And really unusual for big offset/super game improvement clubs--I could shape it really well. For a few weeks this was my "go to" club that I could use in a kinds of situations. All of a sudden I started having problems with the shaft. My clubhead speed is around 92MPH for a 6i, maybe 104 for driver, so I take a stiff, Rifle Project 6.0 for irons and Fujikura models for woods. At any rate, this "uniflex" club actually started shedding layers of graphite--it would just crack on a normal swing and long strips would be flaking away from the shaft. I hope I can replace the shaft--I have access to a pro level shop, so we'll see what's up. I understand reviews here are requested to focus on that particular product. But you can't separate it from the Callaway name. There are just too many uneven levels of quality. Great design, great marketing, great performance--but too many products like this one just seem to be cheaply made. "Old school" items like my forged wedges seem to get better with age--it's really a shame that other products just fall apart within a few weeks of light use. I bought my sister-in-law a practically indestructible pair of sunglasses she loves, but mine (different model) were finished after a month of just wearing around town. January 1, 2014
