        played these clubs when first came out and now have gone back to them; great club for players who don't like or have trouble hitting oversized fairway woods - especially off short grass; find distance of VFT Hawkeye woods to be comparable with todays models; easy to hit straight with a nice titanium "ping" sound.

        Finally found clubs suited to my ability and suited to my build. Been of small stature i have found it hard to find clubs i feel confident over the ball whilst making consistant ball striking.
        Thanks to my new 4 wood and 2 wood i have the drive back in my game. Thankyou Callaway.

          I'm sorry, but the reason I bought this 3 wood was because of the ratings here and a friend who absolutely kills his. I normally don't buy clubs I haven't hit but for the price, I thought it would be worth it.
          The condition of the club is excellent but the performance is terrible. I think I have hit one solid shot and the balance have been smother hooks. The shaft says firm but it feels very whippy to me, which probably confirms the shaft deficiencies of the older Callaways.

          Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

            I have two-3 Woods neither of which I would ever (ever) trade for any other similar club. Why two? Because I want to be sure to have a backup in event anything happens to one of them.

            I can match the distance of my fellow golfers who use drivers off the tee. And, with better accuracy.

            Another big plus is the club allows me to accurately hit cuts or fades when necessary.

            Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
