easy to hit and square to the ball at address
once i figured out how much to swing for the shot i was
envisioning, this club became my "to go" iron for all
shots around the green.
Great deal from callaway,

Just what I was looking for
The head is a tab bit heavier than normal but that helps get it through the sand and the rough easier. It also works very well around the greens

looks good
I just received my wedges and they look great with minimal usage. It is January in IN so I won't know for 3-4 months how they play, but hoping they are as wonderful as my X2's!!

zero bounce was a mistake
only find this club useful in very hard sand or lies with no grass

These wedges have a very nice finish
I purchased both the 54¤ and the 58¤ and I have not been disapointed.
They give more spin than my old wedges and are simply the best wedges I have ever had.

Like the Good Old Days
This is the Callaway I grew to love. Terrific engineering, design, and quality. This club looks like a pipe wrench from the 1930s but it has very quickly become my favorite wedge, and I carry 5 wedges, 4 of them Callaway.
My Callaway wedges were 52/10, 56/11, 60/9, and 64/9, all Vintage Forged. Gave me complete confidence on any shot from 125 yards in, but I wanted to up my bunker play, so searched for weeks trying to find a Vintage Forged with the most bounce I could find. Well, I found it, a 54/16 that while in average condition was exactly what I was looking for. I had it re-gripped and re-shafted, then used a carbide tip groove sharpener to get those babies nice, deep, and grippy.
The results were outstanding but what I did not expect was that it gave me some spin that I had never seen before, particularly from the rough. About a week ago I had a tricky cut lob to a tight pin, maybe about 50 yards. Normally I would hit a 3/4 or full 64. Anyway, I was astonished when I tried the 54 choked down and not only did it stop dead, it spun back a couple of inches. Couldn't believe it. Yesterday I had to navigate a bunker but run it to the LH side of the green, and I could not believe the amount of draw spin I could put on it from 80 yards.
The versatility of this club is amazing, although for tight lies I would use one of my wedges with less bounce. I bent back my 52 to 50 and now feel I can try any shot 135 yards on in.
For the money, it's as good a golf club as I've ever bought, and it brought me back to my caddying days when every good player used Callaway wedges.

Great compliment to my 58 degree
Already had this club In 58 degree and added this 54 to replace a 56 degree ping I3 that I have had for years. Absolutely love them both.
