    Features & Benefits

    Ultra Hot Face

We made a thinner, hotter face that increases ball speeds across the entire face. You get more ball speed, you get more distance.

    Forged Carbon Steel Body

It delivers the soft, responsive feel that players demand from a forged club.

    Tungsten Sole Inserts

They lower CG, maximizing forgiveness and increasing launch angles. It’s a level of playability you wouldn’t expect from a forged iron.

    High Performance Wide Groove

More consistent spin and pinpoint control from every lie.

2014 Golf Digest Hot List Gold Medal

“When you dare to put the Apex name on an iron, you better bring your A-game. Callaway does this with touches like tungsten plugs in the sole of the long irons that produce a low Center of Gravity (CG) and a lightweight steel shaft. This is an iron with plenty of game-improvement for those who need it.” - Golf Digest

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Irons Out There and I've tried most of them. I actually bought these, moved on to some others, and came back to them. Good feel and ball speed off the face, good distance, and I prefer the muted look of these to they shiny finish on the newer models. Add to that the great options and prices at CPO and you can't beat it. I ordered them to my specs and they came quickly and perfectly fitted so they can go in the bag right away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Irons ever! After one long practice session and one round I love these 2015 Apex irons. They look good, feel great and are easy to hit. Did I say they are long? I'm 6'5" and 65 but still swing 105 with a driver so I chose the True Temper XP-95's, Stiff, 2"upright and 2" over length. They feel light yet substantial with a nice solid feel at contact but are very forgiving ifI miss the sweet spot. Even with the customizations I had them within a week. I've never owned and Callaway product till now but I'm sold on the company and the great website and service levels. Think I'll be playing these for a very long time!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2014 Apex Irons with Recoil F4 Shafts I received an email for a special sale on Apex irons from Callaway Preowned. I have wanted some Apex Irons with Recoil shafts since I first hit them back in 2014. Unfortunately, the first set of irons I received had Recoil 110 shafts, which are heavier than the standard Recoil shafts. I contacted Josh in Customer Service, and Josh was great. He said I could give the Recoil 110 shafted irons a try on the course, and he would ship me a set of Apex irons with the standard Recoil 680 shafts. Josh let me try both sets of irons for a week to see which ones were best for my swing. Callaway Preowned has fantastic customer service. I highly recommend Callaway Preowned to every golfer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just WOW! Yes, I am a hack, but I enjoy striking a good ball as much as the next person. Have been using the Callaway XR irons for the past year, and wanted to give the forged Apex irons a try. Oh my! I bought an Apex 6 and 7 iron. They have become my go-to irons. Love the sound, the distance, the results!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth It! I've been golfing consistently for about 4 years now and I was looking for something better than the super game improvement irons that are recommended for 15 plus handicappers. I spoke with my local golf pro and he mentioned the Apex irons but advised they were a little on the spendy side for the common hacker. Because of the cost for new Apex irons, I decided not to hit them as I was not sure I was ready to make that level of investment, being a hacker and all. Then I saw the price for Apex irons on callaway preowned and jumped at the chance to see what the fuss was about. I purchased a set of 'like new' irons at a great price (hint, sign up for emails... you can find great deals). When the irons arrived, I was surprised to see the amount of wear on the face of a 'like new' iron, but otherwise the clubs were in great condition. That's the boring part... I have been working on developing a repeatable swing and with my super improvement irons, I would hit solid shots but the distances just weren't what I expected. HOWEVER, when I hit the Apex irons, I compressed the ball with ease and the ball just jumped off the face. I am honestly hitting the ball 15 to 20 yards further and with better control than any other iron I have hit (and I've hit a bunch). Too bad it's winter because I want to go hit these irons every day. The game is so much more fun. I have never been able to hit a 4 iron, but I consistently hit this one 200 yards and within 10 yards left or right of my target. Now practice and lessons have helped me with a consistent swing, but these irons have definitely improved my game. So, if you are on the fence and wondering if these are worth it, let me tell you, a resounding, YES! You can thank me later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best club I've hit, and I've hit them all! I previously worked at a Goldsmith so I've hit every club from every manufacture. Looking to replace my old set I kept going back to the Apex. Bought a set and LOVE EM'! I did club fittings and I let the golfer hit a few others then just gave them an Apex with Recoil Shaft and it was the best club they hit-Every. Single. Time. No matter what level of ability. The look on their face after they hit it was classic as they turned to me wide-eyed-WOW! And every single time the customer would come back and tell me how much they loved them. NOTE: We're all Amateurs, unless you're a scratch golfer with a +90 swing speed get the Regular Flex Recoil shaft. The very few of you who are a Stiff shaft, get the Stiff Recoil shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Irons I've Ever Played The Apex irons were a good change for me from the XR Pro irons. The Apex are much more forgiving then the XR Pro's. I like the soft sound and I feel like I have more control of what I want the ball to do. Overall these clubs are great looking and easy to hit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic club, Great feel I bought an Apex and Big Bertha seven irons to compare the two clubs. I took them to the driving range for several weeks and put them in my bag a couple of times to try them out on my home course. Balls jump off the Apex seven iron and seem to go higher and definitely land softly. I really like to feel and look of the iron at address. If a club looks and feels great and you are getting good or better results, it must be a good fit. That's how I feel about Apex irons.
