Aldila Rogue I/O 70 OptiFit Shafts

Shaft tool is not included. Along with the use of extreme high modulus (110 MSI) ‘Graphitic’ Carbon and NexGen MLT materials from the original Rogue family, the Rogue I/O also incorporates Aldila’s R.I.P. (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) technology to lower the shaft torque and further stabilize the shaft tip. R.I.P Technology essentially builds a shaft that is Inside/Out (hence I/O) from the way shafts are typically made.

    What makes this shaft unique?

Along with the use of extreme high modulus (110 MSI) ‘Graphitic’ Carbon and NexGen MLT materials from the original Rogue family, the Rogue I/O also incorporates Aldila’s R.I.P. (Reverse Interlaminar Placement) technology to lower the shaft torque and further stabilize the shaft tip. R.I.P Technology essentially builds a shaft that is Inside/Out (hence I/O) from the way shafts are typically made.

What type of player or swing will benefit most from this shaft?

The Rogue I/O is a low torque product with a fairly stiff tip section. It would be considered a ‘high kick point’ shaft. Players with aggressive swings that are looking to optimize their launch angle and reduce spin will benefit greatly from the Rogue’s design.

Are there any technologies, unique materials, or special manufacturing processes that enhance this shaft’s performance?

The Rogue I/O mixes ‘Graphitic’ Carbon, NexGen MLT and R.I.P. Technology in a single shaft. The extreme high modulus, 110 MSI, ‘Graphitic’ Carbon allows for stabilization and reduced torque while lowering overall shaft weight. NexGen MLT materials significantly improve shaft consistency while also providing additional weight reduction through use of thinner materials with lower resin content. R.I.P. technology significantly stabilizes the shaft tip and lowers the torque in the tip end of the shaft, where torque is highest, by turning the shaft Inside/Out (I/O). Bias ply is moved from the shaft interior to the exterior to more efficiently control torque.

Is there any additional information that you’d like to share? [Fun facts, development stories, etc..]

The Rogue I/O adds RIP I/O (Inside/Out) technology to a shaft platform that has already won 20 times on the PGA Tour in drivers, including 2 major championships, 3 Fed Ex Cup playoff events.
