Odyssey Backstryke Marxman Putter
Stable... yes... even
Because you look down on the entire putter head, you have the visual cue, and so the thought, of swinging a pendulum. The result is a much better timed and rhythmic stroke. And the "sighting system" kind of opens up the line. (It might not be the darn RIGHT line, but at least it's your line). Plus the distribution of the weight in the head gives a very solid feel. Bottom line: more putts made and incredibly better lag putts (that's crucial for my handicap). And since appetite comes with eating, now I want to see if I can make the putt instead of just thinking, "WTH, it's just another 3 putt..." Some advice: pay special attention to the length of the putter shaft! I needed a much shorter shaft than I've ever played.

Best putter I've ever used
I'm a single digit handicapper, and have been playing golf for 20 years. Usually I change putters every couple of months. This Backstryke putter has been in my bag for 2 years ! It has allowed me to go from a good putter to a great putter. I even bought a second spare incase my original should get lost ...

Truly has the right name, Marxman
Like the sight lines and feel, did add a large Winn grip for lighter touch.

I like the visual alignment
I added lead tape to give it a bit more pop..and added a larger grip...now works fine

Corrected my erratic putting
I have had putting issues on close putts (2 - 6 feet) with breaking my wrists on putts. This model now has me hitting those close ones with confidence. I do not need to worry about a three putt anymore. I easily saved 5 or more putts per round using this model.

I really like my Odyssey 2-ball, but wanted to try a center-shafted putter. I liked the way the Backstryke allows me to "see the ball" at address.
This putter seems to encourage more of a "Push" stroke with the right hand which seems to help me.
The feel of the ball coming off the putterface is the same as my Odyssey 2-ball; soft and easy to control distance.
I've only been able to use the Backstryke indoors so far, so I'm reserving final judgement, but it looks very promising for someone who favors a "straight-back...straight-through" putting stroke.

"This putter feels so good"
This putter felt so great and balanced in my hands from the 1st time I picked one up in a golf shop but didn't want to pay the price for a new one so I went to callawaygolfpreowned where I have bought clubs before. I got the putter I wanted at a great price and in great shape. I have played 5 or 6 rounds with it (before the white stuff fell) and love it!! My main problem was 3 putts and 4 to 5 foot putts, within a couple of greens I had only 2 putts and made the 4 foot putts also and on the 6th green I made the 1st 15 foot putt for a birdie!! I can't wait to get south and get even better with the Backstrike Marxman putter. The feel and forward press of this Backstike is the best. Do yourself a favor and get one soon.
