Odyssey Metal-X #7 Arm Lock Putter

    SKU: putters-2013-metal-x-armlock-7-mid

    Features & Benefits

A Perfect Blend of Friction and Feel

    Consistent, True Roll

The Metal-X insert puts a consistent, true roll on the ball with amazing feedback and feel. It maximizes the mechanical lock with the golf ball dimples to increase friction, which creates a much more controlled and consistent roll to help you sink more putts.

    Soft Feel

The Urethane inner layer provides soft touch and saves weight to optimize performance.

    Premium, Durable Finish

This high tech finishing process produces a durable Midnight Black Finish that reduces glare, and we added it after gathering extensive feedback from Tour players.

    Our Promise for Metal-X Putters

An Odyssey Putter is a promise made. Sure, we design each of our putters to help you slay more demons and sink more putts. But we also design them to withstand any kind of punishment you can dish out and we back them up with an Odyssey assurance of quality. We rarely see a putter returned, but if you find a defect within a two-year period, we'll repair it or replace it. No questions asked. And that's a promise kept.

Great feel...but some forward stroke issues for me. I like this putter better than the Bettinardi "Kucher" putter. The forward lean of the Odyssey shaft did not feel as severe as the Kucher. I find that the necessary forward lean of the shaft creates a longer distance for the right hand and arm to reach the shaft versus conventional putters. For me, this caused my right shoulder to "hood"...causing the forward through-stroke to pull left at impact. I had to be too concious of this to make it comfortable. Practice green work was fine, but the "pulls" would show up on the golf course at times. I do like the solid feel of the arm-lock stroke. April 1, 2015
excellant quality I've been putting this way for 12 years but with a regular belly putter. This resulted in a much too low loft and also there was not enough offset. Kudos to Odyssey for designing this putter with 7 degrees offset and more offset so that when you set up with it on your left arm, the loft is right on at 3-4 degrees. When I ordered it a few months before it became available, Iread somewhere the grip would be installed so that the flat side would be turned so that it ran alonside you left forearm. It didn't come that way and I like it better with the flat side on top so that thumbs rest there. A great idea if you like to putt like Kucher( and me ). February 8, 2013
Not what I was hoping for I'm always reading about and trying new putter types. I like the looks of this putter but did not care for the offset, counterbalance it was trying to emulate The putter, by design, does not sit flat on the ground when using a normal stance and grip. I have cut it down by 4 in., added a larger grip and hover the head off the ground when putting. This delivers much better roll and distance. May 14, 2015
