Rated 4 out of 5 by from Likely my permanent gamer Okay, they asked for my review, good or bad, so here it is... First, it required my modifying the head in the following ways: - removed all of the paint fill, all cosmetic except the sight lines, which stood out way too much, - removed the metal stickers on the underside of the head, as they were unnecessary and applied with a kind of foam glue (noticed the ends of the stickers weren't perfectly affixed as they flexed), - strategically added back about 30g to the underside of the head where the metal stickers used to be (cut out to contour, and only on the front most side of the cavity, equally split between the two), - removed the grip, retaped the full grip length, and installed new (felt it was tilted slightly to the left). All of that was to fit my preferences, and the head weight approximately came out to 384 +\-. Lie was upright to 72*, length at 33.5. Grip weight also increased by about 25g. Sight lines much better though under the paint is a more silvery metal vs the darker head color, so it is still readily visible (I may try a flat black paint to better conceal). Do feel the center of gravity is just slightly inside of the center sight line, by about 1/8", so it isnt dead center perfect. Overall, much better w the added weight, and erroneous decorations and paint. Second, it does (sometimes) appear closed. Then it appears perfectly in line w the shaft. Sometimes it appears better toward the left toe, other times further back toward middle. It could be forward pressed, it could be perfectly plumb bobbed. Maybe it is an eye dominance issue taken in with the face being ahead of the shaft? Point is, it took a little bit of time before it would perfectly line up and appear square, really odd. Now, I pretty much only notice the leading edge of the face, and it sets up perfectly perpenticular to the line, and have grooved the stroke where I am confident about where the bottom is. Third, with all of the above factored in, it has the least amount of special consideration that a putter might require. I mean to say it sets up and strokes with no noticeable bias, better than any other putter I have used. It is almost completely neutral, where one can isolate the physical action of the stroke apart from any outside influence. The head glides perfectly back and through. This one point is what makes the putter my new permanent gamer. Fourth, and this also really helps isolate the stroke, the face gives very good feedback on where the ball is struck. If you are off from the center of gravity of the face, you can feel it. The head does a moderately good job in resisting any twisting, but you can instantly feel when it is off, and we are usually talking about 1/4" off on either side. Too bad the cog isnt exactly dead nut on, with my head at least, as I'v had to make that subtle adjustment at address. But the face/head gives great feedback on where you strike the ball. Fifth, it is a metal face, probably cast, w a pvd finish. It isnt exactly 'soft', and the sound could be a bit more muted. All modern balls sound a bit clicky to me (compared to balata), so soft isnt the best word to describe the feel, and when off of center, it feels worse, not solid. That's feedback in my book, but it isnt soft. I dont mind the feel or sound terribly, but it is not delicious, if you will. Finally, I putt really straight w the darn thing. And more consistently so. It is a learning process, but once dialed in, it is next to perfect, functionally speaking. Really impressed w how neutral it is. Great feedback. Great to isolate just the stroke as the major variable. That's the good and the bad. Hope it helps out. And thanks Odyssey... I probably won't do this in actuality, but have thought to myself that I should pick up a second for a backup. I like this thing, especially after the mods.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice putter I wanted to try a blade putter. I have always used a mallet. Very good on shorter putts but I struggled with long putts. More to do with me than the putter. Great alignment aid

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toe up thumbs up I have never been a great putter. Tried many brands, lengths, mallet, blades all grip combinations. Don't know but something attracted me to the new toe up putter. It just felt right. My putting improved immediately. I don't fear the 6 foot putt anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Odyssey Toe-Up Blade putter has enhanced my putting & confidence greatly. I've been struggling with my putting and have tried an array of face and toe balanced putters, but have not felt any of them were working for me. I picked up the Odyssey toe-up blade putter in a local store and started rolling some puts. It had a different feel than that of an insert or milled putter, but the balls were rolling really well, so I thought I'd give it a shot. Practiced a couple of hours a day with it, and from day one the ball hasn't done anything but roll better and better. It's now been a couple of weeks and my percentage making putts under 10-feet has increased, and my percentage of three putting the long putts has gone way down. And the biggest aspect I have noticed is how confident I feel on the green now, which has impacted the other aspects of my game as well. If you have been struggling with getting your putter face back to square, I highly suggest that you give this putter a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just pick a line and roll it. I always liked the feeling of a blade putter, but had problems of lining it up, and an inconsistent stroke. The Toe-up solves both issues. The three lines make you confident in your aiming, and the balance of the putter makes the good putts great, and the nearly ones good. The face is soft enough to make you putt without fear, and firm enough to get it to the hole. But, most importantly, makes for consistent putting. Played 15 rounds with it, and already trust it like an old friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This putter does what it is designed to do. The putter assists with a straight back and through putt. Especially useful for limiting an off-plane movement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from if you tend to twist & turn reduced my 3 putts. A little unusual view from above but once I trusted it, I got a great roll. Good lining up and keeps my hands from twisting and pushing putts to the right.
