Big Bertha X-12 Irons
Excellent golf clubs
When I turned 50, I purchased a set of Big Bertha X-12 irons with regular flex graphite shafts. Not being a high ball hitter, I wanted the chance to hit high, towering golf shots.
The X-12 irons definately provided to me:
High, towering golf shots.
Superb full-swing feel.
Perimeter weighting that saved many mis-hits.
I did discover a downside to the X-12 irons:
Can be difficult with greenside chipping.
May not be able to work the ball with fades and draws.
Definately recommend these excellent golf clubs to 10-20 handicap golfers.

Callaway is the way to play
I have a "Big Bertha" driver and I wanted a BB iron.
This is much better than my old Wilson

Best clubs ever !!!
I've had all the new technology but I always go back to my X12's. In my opinion the best Callaway has made.

CallWay X 12 irons 99 graphite shaft
These clubs are so easy to use and the sound of a well struck shot is just a delight , they make you feel wonderful.
I thought I could better them so when my wife offered to buy me a new set I got measured for some Ping G 25 irons .
I am back with my X 12's now as , unlike my friends the Ping are not for me and inspite of the clubs being custom made they did nothing for my game .
Love the X 12's , I highly recommend them .

These X-12s play like my old BB96s,but with better controllability. They were advertised as like-new,but their condition was perfect. I am totally satisfied with these clubs.

As good as Callaway has made.
The most forgiving club I've ever hit. My 14 year old X12s are as good as anything on the market today. If Callaway would come out with new X12s, they would sell.

Great introduction to Callaway irons
The X-12 irons are big and forgiving, perfect for beginning players seeking more consistent trajectory and ball flight.
This was my first set of quality irons when I began playing regularly 8+ years ago. I was living in Austin, TX (where Callaway Golf Pre-owned is located) and they let me pick them up directly -- their customer service was just as great in person as it is on the phone or internet. I remember how dramatically my shots improved that same day when I took them out on the driving range -- those irons gave me the confidence to play a lot more golf. Since then I've had nothing but good experiences with new and used Callaway gear.
If you or someone you know is a beginner looking to get more serious about their game, this is a highly playable and affordable set of irons.

Love my X-12's
After a decade long layoff from the game, I have been bitten again this year by the golf bug. I had an old set of Dunlop irons that had taken up residency in the shed during the hiatus. I knew if I was going to get back into the game, at my age, I needed to get serious about what I was hitting.
I picked up a set of X-12 irons (3I-PW) and a 56° wedge at a yard sale recently for almost nothing. I’ve heard the Callaway name for many years but until now have never hit one or owned any of them. The first hit with these clubs gave me what I had been wanting for a long time. The clubs feel very well balanced and when they contact the ball they feel very solid! I get great lift on the ball without much effort. I have played 4 rounds so far with them and am very pleased and plan on keeping them for a while. The 56° wedge is killer on approach too. I was able to stick a majority of my approaches on my last round and I’ve never been able to say that until now. When I get them re-gripped I’ll have more in the grips than in the initial purchase of the clubs (and will still have less in them than I can buy them for online anywhere).
There are newer, fancier, more expensive clubs on this site and one day I hope to own Callaway’s newest everything! But for now, these will help me play well enough to enjoy the game and give me the desire to get better. Thanks to Callaway, the game of my youth will now be the game I grow old with. Thanks Callaway.
