Big Bertha Irons (2004)
Always liked these clubs, finally bought them. Played a great round right of the bat!
Would recommend to anyone.

Solid Golf Club
I found a Callaway Big Bertha 6 iron with an X100 extra stiff steel shaft in a bargain barrel. I bought it to use at the driving range, mostly to test a very stiff shaft.
I seem to hit this golf club very well. I have no issues with trajectory, and of course the shaft stiffness keeps the ball straight. I honestly would contribute my success with the extra stiff shaft to the design of the head. It has a game improvement style, but it's more compact and efficient.
It's a great looking iron provided you are ok with game improvement size irons, feels really good during a swing.

Great beginner clubs
Very forgiving, even on poor shots, still goes a good distance.

Like me, Old but still going...
Even though these clubs are 10-year-old technology, I like them so much I bought a "new" set to replace the Big Bertha irons I purchased back in 2004.

These irons received more abuse the 1st day at the range with me, than in their previous life. Not bad at all.

First buy for beginner
have never played golf before so I can't say these are better then brand B, or any other critique that would be helpful to someone who has more experience then me. What I can say is that I am truly satisfied with these irons. Callaway Pre-Owned sales staff are top notch with answering my questions and generally guiding me thru the process of finding a great set of beginner irons (thanks again Nathan). These irons arrived in fantastic shape. I ordered very good condition and had to really look to even find a scratch. These clubs make me look like I almost know what I'm doing. In simple language, the ball goes straight, high, and far. The bonus is the price I paid, as the wife now doesn't get that look in her eyes whenever I say that I'd like to buy some golf clubs. I Have her thinking that golf may be a cheap hobby after all.

2004 Big Bertha Irons
Second set of these irons gave my first set to my son then I tried Taylormade r7 irons, they didn't work. Just got these listed in like new condition, bet you could not tell the difference in irons on the shelf at your local pro shop these look as if they just came off the show room. I bet they play the same as the set I gave away.

Great Irons but poor product description
These irons are great: I bought them for a second set since i wanted to leave a set at my club.
My other set are Taylormade's R7.I find the Callaways more forgiving even with same distance. The firm shaft is perfect. Well there are some unusual things about this set, as the "firm"(stiff or regular?) shaft and the no. 10 club instead of a Pitching Wedge. No big deal. But what i did not like was that it was descripted as a 4-SW set, I bought it as such and instead I received a 4-GW set, since the supposedly Sand Wedge shipped to me is instead a 50 degrees loft wedge, which is a gap or approach wedge and not a Sand W, which should be around the 56° loft area. It has a non-committing "W"carved on it, PING-style, which I never fancied. So I had to but a new SW from another retailer. If this was better descripted on the site, I would have bought a SW directly from you in the same order. ( I didn't because handling a shipping costs to Italy are pricey and I could not afford a second purchase). But I am satisfied with my purchase, as I have always been with Callaway's products which are my favourite ever. Both my sets have Callaway drivers and woods.
