    Features & Benefits

    360 Face Cup

For the first time ever, we’re putting cup-faced technology into a player’s iron. Our 360 Face Cup provides outrageous ball speed all across the face.

Lower CG, More MOI and Ball Speed

The Internal Standing Wave is the ultimate team player. It’s refined the way that we lower CG, increased MOI and gives the face cup the freedom to provide more ball speed.

    New Construction And Refined Shaping

A player’s iron needs a different level of refinement and attention, in this case a 2-piece construction that includes a dual heat treatment. The head shape is more compact, with a thinner topline and narrower sole width.

It pays to get fit! I currently play TM Rocketbladez Tours. I had some tweaking done to them and when I picked them up from my local golf store, I thought I'd hit them against the new XR Pro irons. BIG mistake! Now granted, there is a 2.75* stronger loft on the 7 iron Pro compared to the Tour. My Tours have DG S300 shafts, soft-stepped twice, so just a hair stiffer than an R300. The shafts in the Pros were KBS Tour V 100, regular flex. Both irons were the same length. My 7 iron carried 150-151 on the monitor....about exactly what happens on course. The Pro 7 iron carried 166-168 consistently with similar launch to the Tour. That's A LOT of difference. I hit about 20-25 balls with each club and it was a very consistent difference. I ordered a set to my specs on the spot (5-AW, 1* up). I have NEVER had such a difference in irons...and I have owned a bunch of sets. February 24, 2015
Unbelievable set of irons I've just recently resumed playing regularly after a three year complete layoff. I decided to attempt to move into single handicap range from the 18 handicap I was when I stopped playing. I went to my local pro and got fitted. The results were eye opening. My 7 iron swing speed was 101mph. Control was my focus. I was tired of being able to smash the ball with a two way miss. He advised me to go with a club that had forgiveness and playability. His recommendations from callaway line were the XR and the XR Pro. He fit a shaft into a 7 iron of each. The XR felt great, but lacked the feel I wanted. I would have accepted it, but....I swung the XR Pro. WOW!! Toe and heel hits ring in your hands, but the result is not terribly punishing. 5-8 yard loss in carry. The sweet spot however, has a very smooth feel and distinct sound. I was able to draw and fade at will with controlled amounts of shape. I love these clubs. Home course is par 71 and my last five rounds range from 79-83. I've only had the clubs for two weeks, but shaved 8 strokes from my handicap. I am playing a draw shape now as my preferred swing, and my misses are only straight never to the right, but with these irons, I can easily fade the ball when necessary. My 7 iron carry distance on draw shots is 180 which is 12 yards longer than my old X18's. If you can hit the center of the face reasonably well, I'd recommend these irons to you. Don't let the better player tag scare you off. I have difficulty achieving straight ball flight as these are "playable" and my swing imperfections cause a 2 way spray when I try to hit it straight. But hey....a high baby draw is beautiful, especially when it's intentional and controllable. May 28, 2015
Just nailed it. Great set of clubs, and it will blow your mind how good they really are Went from Taylormade speedblades to these so I am used to good distance irons but these are more polished clubs and they offer forgivness that you can see on the course when you hit a bad shot. Flush a 6 iron and you will be sold, they feel forged but you are not going to hit a forged club like this. The only thing I would change is to make the design look more different than the larger set of XR's so that as a better player people don't keep blaming its unfair that you have these clubs in the bag.. Great clubs, good looking and they give you a lot of confidence. Good job! February 24, 2015
XR Pro Recoil Regular Shaft +1 inch Beautiful club in your hand and better when put down at address. They are an honest 10-12 yards longer than my Callaway Razr Black with same specs. The ball gets up nicel and high with consistent distance. Shafts are so comfortable on my arthritic wrist and shoulders. Highly recommend these new icons. The Chrone Soft is better than the Pro V 1. Better than advertised I've played with my new XR Pro irons four times on the course and went to our driving range and hit balls twice. The top line of the irons are easy to look down on when setting up, and the feel from solid hits is the best I've ever had from any set of irons I've owned. Added 6-8 yards easily with ever iron. I am hitting the ball as well as I ever have. Nice job Callaway March 21, 2015
XR Pro irons are long!!!!!!!!!! I am enjoying the much needed distance from the XR Pro Irons. I am easily hitting my these irons 10 yards longer than my ping irons. I also like the softer feel of this iron. Thank you Callaway!!! May 3, 2015
Best club for any handicap. XR Pro. Ball jumps off face and is extremely long. Very workable. Paired up with Chrome Soft. Face of iron has the feel of a forged club. Purchased! February 12, 2015
Playing at a 5.0, these will bring me back to scratch territory! Well, maybe not exactly, but the satin finish, the lack of ugly offset, the "just right" top line = love at first sight before hitting them. Once you hit them with the right shaft for you, you should be hooked. I traded in the Apex irons - KBS Tour V - for the XR Pro with a 5.5 PX shaft. I've typically played KBS Tours over the last several iron sets - Tour V and Tour S - and the combination of this head and shaft seems perfect if you too have ever played KBS shafts. The irons are full of technology and forgiveness from heel to toe shots. I've noticed only about a 7 yard distance on off center strikes. Launch with the 5.5 shaft is easy. They are workable as well. I highly recommend checking these out. April 7, 2015
