    Features & Benefits

    Deep Central Undercut

The new Deep Central Undercut increases the rate the face flexes and rebounds. So it increases ball speeds to make these irons even longer. And golfers seem to like that.

    Stabilizing Arch

The exceptional sound and feel at high ball speeds come from a stabilizing arch that reinforces the face. You probably wouldn’t expect to get those things in a distance iron, but our R&D Team outdid themselves. Again.

    Perimeter Weighting

If you like higher launch angles, more distance, stopping power on the greens and a bigger sweet spot, we developed the perimeter weighting with you in mind. What can we say; we like to give you what you want.

    Lightweight Shaft Options

Lightweight Speed Step 85 – Steel shaft available in regular and stiff flexes

New lightweight Callaway Ultralite graphite shaft – More feel and control while increasing launch angles

“This is more than a mere follow up to the X Hot. This is a fresh approach to iron design for Callaway where the game-improvement features are hidden in a more pleasing shape.” - Golf Digest

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice feel, extremely accurate, good value club. The X-2 Hot irons are a very solid club, even on mis-hits. They do play longer per club, but I think that's just because the lofts have been juiced. The only thing that I dislike about these irons are they are made of highly polished stainless steel which is hard keep from scratching. You have to use club covers to keep them looking their best. Wish Callaway used the same matte finish my old Ping Zing 2's have, and remove the medallions on the back and replace them with just the casting on the backs. I would rather have the irons uncovered, but they get too scratched up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from XR irons better Initially liked the x2hot irons but then I tried the XR irons. Much prefer the XR irons and bought a set of XR combo hybrids/irons. I am much happier. All purchases made through Callaway preowned website which has great service, price, and quality!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Game Improver I found these irons lighter than my other Callaways but easier to swing. Found extra distance even with toed shots. Had to adjust in my stance to get to sweet spot but finding an improvement. Catch them on the sweet spot and they go. I like these clubs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top 5 golf club As a feel player, this is without any doubt one of the best feeling, and well balanced golf clubs I have ever had the pleasure to use. I'm using a 6 iron in regular flex steel as a practice club. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite golf clubs. An added benefit, very long distance with decent trajectory. Definitely a Callaway winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I am a 15 handicap but that was with my old X-18 Pros. The X2 Hot’s are longer and straighter and much more forgiving. The weekend before receiving my new clubs I was hitting my 5 iron a solid 190, first day on the range with the X2 Hot’s and I hit my 5 iron off the grass 210-220. Please note that I’m still learning these clubs but I have played 2 rounds and spent about 2 hours of additional time on the range and in those two rounds I saved at least 3 strokes just because of the new irons. They hit out of the rough smooth and any corrections or “playing my slice” has gone away. I hit my 6 iron from 190 out and that was in the rough, that would have never happened with my old clubs. They are true, line it up and swing and you will see the magic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to hit with great results. X2 Hot irons added distance (approx. 10 to 15 yards) over my old irons (X-18 Pro Series) even on miss hit shots, accuracy is a greatly improved also. Can't go wrong with these irons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Irons - Great Replacement for Old Set! I had my Callaway X-24 Hot irons for 5 years and they had served me well but I was starting to get the itch to replace them. I looked at other brands and even tested some others out but then once again decided that CPO would be my best bet - and the X2 Hot irons would be the set I would buy. These irons inspire confidence. They are "Game Improvement" but frankly they don't look like it. Whereas the X-24 Hot irons are large and "clunky" looking these irons are sleek. And I am talking all the way down the line - I bought the SW to the 4. As far as performance, these irons are amazing. Their loft is stronger which is going to take some getting used to because of a change in distances but the number on an iron is nothing more than a marker - I base my game on my distances and gaps and I am getting them dialed in. Contact in the sweetspot is incredible - you don't even know you hit the ball. And mishits, while there is some feedback, don't get punished too badly by going offline or short. The spin is decent and I love the flight - long and penetrating. Getting GIR's is the key to a lower score and these irons are green seekers. I play mostly right to left - nice little draw that is controlled. I am easily able to also fade the ball with these irons - it's nice to be able to shape shots with so little effort. The deal I got on these irons with my customization was amazing. And I have no regrets. Thus far I have played 9 rounds with my new irons. Only one round was over 80 and it was because I had two blow-up holes from really bad decisions. Other than that single round these welcomed editions have led to some of the lowest rounds I have shot in almost a year and my handicap is back down to a 6.1. It is really nice to be able to pull an iron out regardless of the lie or distance, and to be able to confidently pull the trigger in anticipation of a good (and perhaps even a great) outcome.
