blast from the past
The RAZR Hawk Driver technology is a few years old but the feel has never been better. Thanks to Calloway for keeping the resale market viable for replacement clubs. My new 'old' technology driver works with my new Calloway irons. Its a perfect combination. Thanks.

Callaway RAZR Hawk compared to FT9
I had a FT9 in the golf bag for three seasons....then surrendered it for a white headed driver.
Purchased a RAZR Hawk because I was not as consistent and finding the fairway as well as I did as a FT9. Bought it because I regretted trading in my FT9 and the Razr Hawk is so similar.
The RAZR Hawk looks familiar to my old FT9. Looks great at address. Striking the ball with the RIP shaft is incredible. Impact feels great and you sense the ball. Sound great.
The results are very good. I am as long or longer than with that white headed driver that everyone is playing. My consistency is much improved.

Long and Straight
This is the best driver I have played. I fight a bit of a weak fade so I went with the 11.5* model with the slightly closed face. It's long and really helps to minimalize/eliminate the fade.

Longer than prior Callaway models and many competitors. Very accurate.
As a 66 year old nearly scratch golfer, I have played with a variety of drivers. I recently purchased Razr Hawk 10.5, neutral, RIP regular flex shaft for my swing speed of 95mph. This driver is longer than any prior Callaway driver I have owned, and longer than other manufacturer's recently marketed adjustable and non-adjustable drivers. It is easy to draw or cut with the Razr Hawk, and the ball speed off the clubhead is fabulous. I am hitting 1 to 11/2 clubs less into par 4s and am reaching more par 5s in two. Very accurate; excellent trajectory (mid-high), although ball can be flighted higher or lower depending on setup and swing. Highly recommended. Although sound is muted, it's easy to hear and feel shots "hit on the screws."

Too Much Varibility in Manufacture
Tried identical model (RAZR, Draw, R shaft) at local store and it was great. Ordered same club and found it dissapointing. Most of the clubhead mass is located in the heel of this driver causing glancing blow and loss of distance. Another possible source of difference could be the shaft, even though the specifications are identical. I should have purchased the club I hit at the store instead. Finally, the swing weight is D2 instead of the advertised D4.
