The new FT-5 Tour Driver is the latest evolution in clubhead design utilizing our revolutionary Fusion Technology. 50 grams of discretionary weight has been created using a Carbon Fiber Body — creating the OptiFit Weighting System that produces three center of gravity configurations: Draw, Neutral and Fade. The larger, more robust CT/VFT Titanium cup face is designed to the legal limit, as defined by the USGA Characteristic Time test, resulting in increased ball speed, distance and forgiveness — even on miss-hits. The Tour model (designated by half-degree lofts – 8.5°, 9.5° and 10.5°) has a slightly open face providing highly skilled golfers a more pleasing look at address and increased workability.
    • Fusion Technology uses a carbon composite body to create an unprecedented 50 grams of discretionary weight for a high MOI and exceptional stability on miss-hits. The 25-gram weight chip in back lowers the CG for optimal trajectories.
    • OptiFit Weighting System produces Draw, Neutral, and Fade configurations in most lofts, allowing golfers to choose the best type for their swing.
    • CT/VFT Titanium Cup Face results in a larger, more robust face for increased ball speed right up to the USGA limit on shots hit all over the face. It also produces a more crisp metallic sound.
    • New 460cc head design is longer and flatter for more confidence at address and a higher MOI for longer, straighter drives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Few years old but still goes BOOM! I've been playing this driver since they came out. I upgraded back in the day from an X-Tour, and it was a huge leap in improvement. When the new drivers came out, I still hit this one just as good as the new stuff (until the RAZR's came out). If you've got an older driver in the bag, this is certainly an upgrade. While I'm not fond of the stock shaft (Stiff Fujikura, shot trajectory balloons for me), it would fit most well, and certainly worth double or triple what they go for used on callawaygolfpreowned.com!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FT-5 is Awesome The price was great, the consistency I have gained by switching from a ping to calloway is building my confidence and hope to break 5 by next spring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from reliably consistent My search for a consistent/reliable driver ended with this club. I won't win any long drive competitions, but will take fairways any day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I got 20 yards back!! I have had 4 Callaway drivers ever since my first, the orginal Big Bertha. I decided to try something new and got a Cobra Pro Speed S, 8.5 degree about a year and a half ago (bad decision). I thought I was getting older and weaker, I noticed I lost nearly 20 yards on slight mishits and 5-10 when I hit it on the screws. I had not lost any distance on my irons so I decided to go back to what used to work. I bought a pre-owned FT-5, 8.5 degree. I couldn't be happier with the condition of the club. It had a new grip, head cover and the face was refinished. The only way I could tell it had been used was by a few scratches on the sole of the club. I got my 20 yards back and it's just as easy to work left and right as the Cobra! Could be the best value I ever got out of one club.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should be outlawed Be careful who you let read this....as I'm enjoying beating everyone who joins in with our foursome. I just could not believe the improvement over the older clubhead technology; THIRTY yards more distance and in the short grass. My long time golfing buddy trembles when the big stick comes out of bag.....today I hit 318yrds to a tough par four and pitched the ball against the flag stick....should be against the law for a non PGA player to hit the ball that far! One last thing...I don't work for Callaway and I've never written any kind of product reveiw in my life. And........when this "used club" was delivered to my front door and I open the box like kid at Christmas it looked brand spanking new...in fact I think it was. So, do you think I'm a happy camper....you guess.
